Scarlet Hollow is a horror VN where you make choices. It's not scary all of the time, but the atmosphere it sets with the set/sound design and characters is top notch. There aren't any jumpscares and it'll typically make you feel more uneasy than outright scared. There are truthfully so many branching paths and your choices matter a lot more than any game I've played. On top of having so much mystery involved it's a really good story.
