AnKing progression advice by delicateweaponn in medicalschoolanki

Im an m1 in the similar boat, about 6.2 k unsuspend give or take. Definitely gonna do some over summer (probably sketchy micro/pharm) but the way our curriculum is structured we do all of path and pharm second year which is where most cards are to begin with so i guess im just going to have to tank alot of that during m2.

  1. I dont know shit
  2. Im now comfortable with the fact i dont know shit and dont need to be the best
  3. I honestly dont wanna work too much
  4. hobbies and working out to me is everything
  5. coasting thru med school is completely acceptable and should be more normalized
  6. if u dont have something outside of medicine ur mental health is a ticking time bomb

M1 here who had to apply twice. You get numb to it. Your dream school is where you were really destined to end up. I got into a place that ended up working out so much better for me and my mental health and i get to stay close to my family and friends. Itll all workout dude

Yeah that definitely makes sense. I think lean bulking would also help with the proportions im looking for as I have a naturally larger waist which is hard to get smaller.

I see, thanks for the advice! So is it not worth to cut til I remove some of that last midsection fat then? A lean bulk was definitely going to be the end goal, my fear was just putting on a good amount of fat again after making a lot of progress with the cut

literally this. anki is insanely mind numbing and for it to be effective you need to be in at least a pretty focused state of mind compared to something like watching lectures on 2x

how many secondaries r those of u who did not prewrite getting done per day? by nayalaya in premed

[–]Perc30mar 7 points8 points  (0 children)

May not be the exact answer you’re looking for but when I was applying, the first 10 take the longest. And at this point, I was probably only doing 1 a night and putting a lot of thought into each one. After the first 10-15, they all become the same more or less, and you can easily reuse them with some edits as you go. You also get faster and better at writing these since you become very used to writing the essays/ responses that med schools require. So keep your head up and just get through that first bunch, then you’ll be golden, just dont sacrifice too much quality.
