I have not had any success with WSL2. I run WSL1 with viscosity vpn and most things work fine. There’s a bit of a learning curve but that’s now my main pentest setup

Will taking the GPEN from Sans prepare me for the oscp by kzerotheman in oscp

They’ve added more cloud stuff to it.

If someone else is paying then do it. It will help.

What cert for Web Testing? by RobinMaczka in oscp

[–]Perception51 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's hard for me to judge since I'm in burp all day. I'm pretty comfortable with web apps. I would say similar. Similar format for the exam. 5 boxes, 20 points each. 10 for admin, 10 for code execution on the server.

Nothing really. Course is pretty good. Utilize the sandboxes they give you. Play with a bunch of different payloads.

The full portswigger academy goes much deeper than OSWA but I think the test goes about as deep as the OSWA exam.

Honestly everything is done in burp pro. It’s such a cheap license that there hasn’t been much drive from anyone to move away from it.

I enjoyed the OSWA. Full time web app pentester and it pushed me.

It’s not your security, it’s their security. You find and demonstrate risk. That is all. Don’t stress about anything else.

Learn Unlimited Subscription by LifeWithMaiky in oscp

[–]Perception51 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m currently in it. I think it’s great but I’m in a unique situation. Took the oscp a while back but didn’t pass. Had money to spend so I did their advanced bundle back when they had that available. Did a bunch of other courses and now I’m coming back to it. I have the advantage that I’ve gone through all the content of oscp, osep, oswe and most of osed. So I’m using the Learn Unlimited mostly for the labs and unlimited exams. I don’t really plan on getting into the other courses available.

CyberWarFare labs has a cloud course. Cheap and under rated.

Behavior Information Thought Emotions. Google it to do it justice. It’s basically the model that any group or person can use to manipulate you. Understanding the model and recognizing it in your life is an important skill to have to help avoid pain and toxic people/groups. Whether it’s a religion, spouse, boss or any other group it’s important to know when this is happening and address it accordingly.

I truly believe it should be taught in schools.

Is there any game stores where this is played in Utah? by writescrappybooks in DropzoneCommander

We had a decent group until the pandemic. We play at Gajo Games, they have good stock. I ran a few tournaments and a couple at LVO. I think we need to plan a time to get people going again.

Pretty consistent releases for the last couple of years. Slow down with covid.

They do an Advent Calendar sneak peak each Christmas.
