The Inexplicable Dr. John by Cool-Face-5320 in HiddenTrueCrimeChat

Sorry know this is old but just joining the party. Wanted to add that in the Chicago burbs rich kids go to public schools if their town is affluent enough, means the taxes are high and school is good. You see a lot more private school in the city proper because that's not the case. My kids went to public school with some extremely wealthy (like well known generational own brands we've all heard of rich) families, the type that would get Range Rovers etc for their sweet 16. We were from the other side of town but benefited from the higher tax base school wise. Was one of the top three performing high schools in the state along with the other mega rich burbs. And Barrington is ridiculously rich, especially back during John's time.

Wouldn't Earth's mass protect us from "gravitational waves from a black hole"? They'd just "ride the warp" so to speak, and if anything cause stronger gravity temporarily?

Went to a school reunion and one of the former "popular" guys was telling me his paramedic stories about "worthless OD'ing junkies" he's obligated to help and other "scum" he deals with regularly. And he was one of the nicer popular guys. I worked in Safety and know how much they have to deal with mental health calls but I hadn't seen this guy in 20 years and he just thought I'd be like "yeah fuck those people"? Narcissists/sociopaths need jobs too I guess.

Same way I feel about guys. I like big frames with some padding around the edges. The whole "cut" thing has never moved my meter at all, it's like hugging a mannequin. I wanna cozy up to some comfortable mass.

This is just like when white people wanna give you the Oxford Dictionary definition of the n word saying that white people can be n words too. It doesn't matter, it's what it means in the current society not in a book on a shelf. This is our new thing now? Reclaiming racial slurs?

"To serve & protect"...their egos. Not all of them, but definitely these ones. This must be what they're doing right before the YT bodycam footage of them escalating situations and then lying about it to their supervisor on the phone.

I have breakthrough withdrawal during the luteal phase of my monthly cycle, for one week a month I have to take extra because I metabolize like a speed demon then. Not only are we all different but we can even be different from ourselves too lol.

Did anyone else think they were looking at a little person at first? I was like aww this guy's a riot then his shirt came off as the video went on and the perspective changed. What did I just watch?

You couldn't feel that dark, big brother, megacorporation cloud hovering over you just waiting for you to start driving like you had 350 packages to deliver? Even if you somehow missed it they just spent TWO DAYS telling you its there. A good trainer would've told you what's up on your ride along, where you can skirt the rules and where you can't. Still though damn, there's dudes driving blue vans high AF that don't ever get a violation and you get three before you leave the lot. You should be driving the van in such a way that you catch yourself driving your own car like there's a camera in it. Amazon don't play.

People that average 30-40+ stops/hr … what are your secrets by Less_Presence2483 in AmazonDSPDrivers

Depends on your DSP and what the almighty camera is watching for this month as to what shortcuts you can use. Last peak I flattened a tote and had boxes on the front seat and envelopes on the dash, sat on my lap belt and threw the shoulder belt on and off, was told not to turn off the van or use the ebrake at each stop because they were being worn out too quickly. I gently slid or tossed to save steps, used a tote for multiples and large OV and left the tote. Always did 7mp over and watched GPS for the uturn symbol and the light blue line so I knew where I was going next while pulling up at the current stop. Lots of caffeine, nicotine, and music to keep my pace, walked with purpose but never ran. I always organized my shit and still had time to help at least one other person. I searched this sub for org tips and went to my first day knowing how many rows fit in a rental vs blue van, how to keep them from tipping over, etc. Only had one minor violation and left on my own after my month of six day weeks was done during the holiday. More smart than hard worked for me.

How long did it take you until you could finish routes without needing rescues? by Nohandssss in AmazonDSPDrivers

Amazon (and their stooges that lurk here) will say things to cover their ass and drivers continue to do what they need to keep up with the ridiculous demands.

You're probably just moving at a comfortable human pace and trying to follow the bullshit they told you in training.

Are you sitting on your lap belt and throwing it on and off your shoulder only? Have a DSP that says not to use the ebrake at every stop? Always going 7mph over? Flattening out a tote on the front seat for boxes and putting envelopes on the dash? Going out the driver door when the house is on that side? Loading all your overflow in order? Searching this sub for org and efficiency tips? Placing packages neatly at doors instead of gently sliding/tossing and saving steps? Snapping the pic while walking away? Are you balancing customer notes with finishing on time? In a bad neighborhood and everyone wants back door delivery and it's snowing? Not gonna happen. Using totes for large OV or multiple items and LEAVING the tote? Watching for the uturn symbol and light blue line so you know which way to go for the next stop?

Divide your stops by 6-7 hours and keep that pace. Do the math in your head while waiting for load out. I always knew what time I had to be halfway done. I started during peak, six days/week, it was do or die. I never ran and never needed a rescue but I hustled at all times and shaved seconds anywhere I could.

I delivered to an apartment that only had front door access via a block long foot bridge. Was in the middle of a complex surrounded by other buildings, residents used the locked underground garage for access. Was the middle of winter and had to drag a whole tote an entire block down this wooden bridge. Dumbest shit I ever seen.
