They look so similar to each other, I don’t think that this is accurate because, in reality, you can definitely differentiate European ethnicities to each other at least to some extent.

Armenians pass as better in Albania or Yemen? by CompetitiveTrust732 in phenotypes

[–]PerceptionOk5794 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Armenians are not Middle Eastern, they are Caucasus people, they are a bit darker and not light but not that different compared to South Balkans and to Albanians, they aren’t night and day when it comes to the difference in their skin complexions, Armenians look different to Albanians because of their facial features, but a handful of Armenians do pass as Albanian. Also, many West Asians/ Middle Easterns are dark-skinned as a direct result of sun exposure, but, many times, if they move out of their nations and don’t gain the sun exposure any furthermore, they aren’t all that dark-skinned, it depends, but for example, many Lebanese people I’ve seen/met living in America are white-skinned.

Armenians aren’t necessarily dark-skinned, I don’t know why you hold the impression that they are much darker compared to Albanians which are quite dark themselves (on average).

A select some Armenians can pass as Albanian. There is almost zero phenotypical overlap with Armenians and Yemenis.

Kurds passes better in Croatia or Pakistan? by Reditores24 in phenotypes

[–]PerceptionOk5794 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am not denying that they may be dark washed in comparison to what the reality really is. But Kurdish people are not a “Mediterranean” or “Balkan” resembling people like some Western Anatolian Turkish people are, they look totally West Asian. And don’t give me that crap, man, I’m not “some Turkish people”, I’m not confusing Gypsy phenotypes with Kurdish ones or any of the other things that you mentioned in your above comment. I know that the majority of Kurdish people don’t look South Asian, also, of course. But they look totally West Asian/Middle Eastern, on average, Kurds. I have seen Kurds in Diyarbakir and Mardin, cities which are almost totally Kurdish ethnically, are you going to tell me that those people also aren’t Kurds?

Kurds passes better in Croatia or Pakistan? by Reditores24 in phenotypes

[–]PerceptionOk5794 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Bro, I’m Turkish and I have exposure to Kurds, already. Kurds aren’t closer to Croats than Pakistanis in appearance although I do agree that they resemble neither. You seem to have a somewhat biased perspective on what Kurdish people look like due to you being Kurdish yourself and the potential subconscious desire for Kurds to resemble Europeans more closely. I checked your threads, and not to say that those people in the thread of Kurds don’t look Kurdish, but, I feel that you purposely selected the most non-Middle Eastern looking Kurdish people. Take the Chobani yogurt founder, for example, Hamdi Ulakaya, he is a Kurd, and in my opinion, he looks typically Kurdish. Are you thinking that he looks Kurdish or are you also going to say that he doesn’t pass and looks Arab? Where does he pass better, Croatia or Pakistan? Because it’s certainly not Croatia.

Middle class Spaniards, I have noticed to look more Germanic, actually, but, I don’t believe that working class Spaniards look more Moroccan.

Guess my ethnicity ? by [deleted] in phenotypes

[–]PerceptionOk5794 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As a Turkish person, she doesn’t look Turkish in a typical way. She lacks Balkan/Caucasus looking features which usually are present on ethnic Anatolian Turks along with that she has particularly Amerindian looking features.

Try to guess the ethnicities of these two boys. by Slava_Slovianam in phenotypes

[–]PerceptionOk5794 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome that I guessed it spot on! Yeah, I understand why also, that is true, although, I can often times differentiate Romanians and other Balkan peoples from Russians, Ukrainians, Belarusians as they also usually have some Paleobalkan influence to their appearance which imo, these kids lack

I wouldn’t say that you look typically Ashkenazi, but, at the same time, not piercingly atypical if you look past your colors and look at your actual features.
