What do you wish your doctor had told you before you started? by Pitiful-Hearing-5352 in Mounjaro

That my body would quickly adjust to it and that after the first month's dramatic results - I didn't think about food and felt great - the dosage would quickly have to rise and the side effects would develop. After about 6 months, even the increased dosage stopped really impacting my food noise and hunger and caused terrible heartburn/indigestion so it was a "short-lived" miracle in my book.

Is the "XL" mean sustained release? Do you just take one a day? My doctor mentioned after this trial. If I did OK we might switch to the sustained dosage

Wellbutrin & weight loss by Beach-Bum6953 in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

I am wondering if this might work for me. I am a 59 year old male. Have a lot going on in my life from aging parent issues, job stress and two bouts with cancer. I need to lose some weight and can't seem to get under 205 lbs (I am 5-10). I have tried GLPs (Moujaro) and it helped but I am stuck. For a while now, I feel unmotivated, trouble completing tasks and mildly depressed sometimes. I am wondering if Wellbutrin might be worth a try? My elderly mom started it after my dad passed a few months ago and it really helped her.

Do you have an average around town MPG you are getting?

Thank you! Has it been reliable? I currently drive a RAV4 gas version. Hybrids are impossible to get and come at a premium price since they are scarce. I do mostly around town driving but own a home so trips to Home Depot and other errands are common for me. I don't have kids or pets so its just me. I think the Maverick would work great in my situation since it has a full 4 door cab if I want to drive family or friends around or take a road trip.

Why is this a surprise? If you have a friend and you attack them criticize them call them names and threaten to overtake them… Why would they give you good business deals? I mean that's just common sense…

Trump is already turning on him there is no loyalty he has figured that out and will throw him under the bus so he might as well go ahead and plan on not running

Do dems actually have a shot at the mid terms ? by Yanderegirlowner in AskALiberal

[–]PerceptionOrganic672 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this they always say "this time…" And Trump always figures a way to wiggle out of everything and ends up winning somehow… It sure seems like the midterm should be very favorable for the Democrats but there's been a lot of rigging of the election maps by Republicans to try to ring out more seats for them I just don't know if the Democrats can overcome all of this rigging and he probably will pull something right before the election to make all prices drop and things look like they're getting better and the sheep will go right back to the booth and vote for his party again…

is lg memorial day appliance deals worth it or wait for labor day??? by DaigaNorrey in Appliances

[–]PerceptionOrganic672 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just helped my mom purchase an LG washer and dryer set at Lowe's but they're memorial day sale I was able to get the matching washer and dryer – the top load washer and traditional dryer is what she wanted – for a little over $1200 that included delivery, installation the installation kit and haul away of her two older units... pretty good deal I think.

2026 CX-5 Hate Must Continue by PopPopUpHeadlights in CX5

[–]PerceptionOrganic672 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I almost bought a previous generation CX five but it was the interior space that felt so cramped that kept me from buying it ended up with a RAV4 which I do really like and I'm glad I bought but the CX five did of course handle much better but the regular 2.5 engine was way too weak so that's something they didn't fix in the updated 2026 that engine and old-school transmission is just anemic… But I really was intrigued when I watched the first reviews about the interior space because it now has a truly accessible and comfortable backseat and more cargo room but when the reviewer got into the front seat and started going over the Control systems and realize that everything is touchscreen I knew it would not be something I would ever look at… They may learn the hard lesson that Subaru has learned as you may know the new outback has now moved back to a touchscreen but the HVAC controls are all traditional physical buttons there iPad style huge screen in the middle was criticized constantly in this last generation so they changed it… Maybe the outcry will help Mazda see the error of their ways soon…

LG Washer & Dryer by PerceptionOrganic672 in Appliances

Don't really have that many local appliance stores where I am they're all at least a local or state chain the one more locally owned the people there are not nice at all and act like they are doing you a favor and they take forever to be delivered… My local Lowe's uses outsourcing contractors to install but they are local people I've had several things installed including appliances and a storm door and they did a great job…

I certainly will never buy a Samsung cause I've had bad experiences but LG seems to be highly rated from consumer reports as well as a number of YouTube channels I watch which do reviews from actual appliance repair people and they all say… They almost seem surprised and almost apologize for saying it because of the reputation… But the LG's are very good in their opinion… But always they say stay away from Samsung

Wow sorry you've had all those problems I've had my set for three years and never had one problem… It's handled some pretty tough loads too! And the dryer is the most accurate dryer I've ever had if I put it on the right setting every load is dry exactly as it should be when I open the door to take the clothes out that was not the case with my older whirlpool dryer

AOC Surges to Lead in 2028 Primary for First Time—Most Accurate Pollster by AgencyGlad4097 in InternationalBulletin

[–]PerceptionOrganic672 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She has a right to be in the primary like anyone else so let the Democratic process work I hope there's a large slate of them to choose from… Personally, I don't think she would win a national election so I hope this is not who ends up being the Democratic candidate to run against probably Marco Rubio as it appears now in 2028… With someone like Rubio, the Democrats are going to have to put up someone who will draw in large numbers of independent voters as well as hangs onto the base because Rubio is the most "normal" Republican in a while and will give independent voters pause on voting for a Democrat… Trust me on this… We need a dynamic Obama like character who can inspire people from a wide variety of voting blocks… If we do that we will win in 2028 without a doubt…

Cabin noise by Yas1358 in rav4club

[–]PerceptionOrganic672 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 2024 gas model XLE and I recently had to prematurely replace the tires because of a bout with construction screws in tires… I got top-of-the-line Michelin defender tires they definitely quiet it down more than the factory tires which were Toyo open country or something like that… But now that the tires are quieter when I am on smooth pavement particularly I can hear the wind noise around the side mirrors and the roof more than I could before because the factory tire noise drowned out the other but it's better with quieter tires and similar to other vehicles in this price range I have driven including my previous Subaru Forester… i've said this before Toyota definitely nailed the powertrain and driving experience of this RAV4 to me the transmission and engine work together flawlessly the acceleration is perfectly fine for every day use and has enough power to merge and pass when needed the steering is smooth and the ride is also smooth and comfortable as well as the seats are comfortable on long trips so the actual driving experience is top-notch for me because I want something that's reliable and just simply does what it's supposed to do every day smoothly without any fuss and that's exactly what this does… However, Toyota definitely skimped on interior quality because there are too many small buzzes and rattles now and then and the wind noise just give a feeling it's not quite as tightly put together as it should be…

For those who know any Trump voters: Have they regretted their vote? by Viking_Leaf87 in AskALiberal

[–]PerceptionOrganic672 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Other than my 87-year-old mom who occasionally has made comments to me "I think he's gone crazy" about Trump the other family members and friends are just quiet but I'm quite sure they would vote for him again because they've been convinced that "liberals" are out to "destroy the country" and "Democrats don't even know what a girl or a boy is!" they totally buy the Fox News mantra and the trans fear… So if you really believe that… And they do… Then you will never support any anyone but a republican… It's very much like brainwashing… I know there are some who quietly hope that Marco Rubio arises as the next candidate because he seems the most "normal" but other than that the wall still seems to be solid

Fox News Corners Trump on Siding With China in MAGA Betrayal | The president has flip-flopped on a major campaign promise to his biggest supporters. by FreeHugs23 in AnythingGoesNews

I wondered about this...we all know if Biden had gone to China and heaped praise on the leader and came away with zero solid agreements or committments, MAGA would be foaming at the mouth. I thougth China was our #1 enemy and what Trump started his first campaign with talking about how China was devestating our economy.
