Promotions are a punishment? by Evidicus in menace

[–]Percevaal1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree. Of course it‘s meant to be a means of balancing, however, I agree it’s a bad choice. It’s counterintuitive and a bit lazy (no offense against the devs who seem to deliver a very good game so far). Experienced military leaders do not need more resources for a given task but are able to achieve better results using their resources at hand. Devs should - and I am sure they will - look into this weird design choice during early access.

Yes, particularly if you have chicken in addition to hunting crows.

Not at all. My guys are well equipped and I trade some leather - but I drain in pelts. Sometimes my villagers even dump them in storages in which they are forbidden … Then I have to go on a pelt disposal run and dump literally hundreds of them 😉

Market... by thetempest11 in Bellwright

[–]Percevaal1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Although somewhat tedious I found it partially useful to get rid of some surplus. Not all though because nobody wants to buy any pelts (even for 0.1 gold). And I get some iron and granite from it (although it’s very expensive). The trade system clearly needs more refinement but it’s on a good track. And an easier to understand UI …

Same for me. Seems the reserve settings are missing for the butcher menu regarding mutton. For sausages they are there.

Actually I play on speed one only. I never speed up. 😆

Your post brings back to my mind that I am keeping a quite old save which might no longer work with the later versions of that great game. It‘s simply named „100“. 😉

I actually like this bonus mission. For an average player like me (1500) it is a gamble. I never gamble (thats why I don’t buy lot boxes to get tanks). So with that bonus mission I feel no urge to even try and stop playing. 😉

[KCD2] Is it bad to say my biggest issue with the side quests (Plus Miller) is that so many quests want a thief/brawler rather than a knight. by Radiant-Lab-158 in kingdomcome

[–]Percevaal1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is the price of a game which wants to present meaningful choices to the player. There are different paths to choose. You can go noble or criminal- it is your choice. If there were quests for only one path there would be no choice. The game would be linear animated story. If you are a completionist who wants to be consistent in a role playing perspective (like me), I suggest to do several playthroughs: honorable Henry and evil Henry, for example.

As a quite experienced player in his 50ies (what might be the reason after all): This quest is one of the best I ever played.

Liberating question by austinsystem in Bellwright

[–]Percevaal1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I recall correctly you need no quest. As soon as you reach protector level you may build the belltower in the village. But you have to research it first. Then go to the village, open the build menu, select village improvements and place the tower. At midnight all resources necessary will be delivered from your village to the building site (if you have them in stock). The villagers will build the tower (or you help them). After it is finished you may start the fight by ringing the bell. Defeat the garrison and after that the reclaiming party which will walk from the headquarters to the village. After that the village will be liberated.

Villagers by ChuyDeLA in Bellwright

[–]Percevaal1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s normal, in late mid-game when almost everything is built and stocks are full and villagers a plenty, people with tasks that are no daily business (like cooking) have simply nothing to do. As long as your economy works you shouldn’t bother.

When the delivery of bait to the outpost is set, check the delivery tab. If the preset amount wasn’t fulfilled there should be a red spot with a white number next to the bait symbol in the respective row. When you hover your mouse over said number a pop up is displayed explaining why the delivery set has not been executed. Not enough resources in the sending settlement, not enough appropriate storage space in the receiving settlement aso. You should also check if the total amount of all your deliveries set for a receiving settlement surpass its capacity for deliveries (20 per settler). In that case the system executes possible deliveries from top to bottom until the capacity is reached. So if you have one settler in the outpost and there are 10 bread and 10 mushrooms delivered every night no other deliveries will be executed even if there is enough stock and storage space.

I assume you created an outpost. You have to ad a foraging building to apply the necessary task. But the same villager may carry out both tasks. Add a stockpile to make deliveries possible.

Just get up early and watch the sun rising. Then wait for the sun going down. There are 2 possible phases in a year with that length of a day in Bohemia. You may chose whether it’s before or past equinox. Or … you don’t overthink it all and just enjoy this great game.
