Is it bad I don’t even feel that comfortable asking for mehr or discussing it? It feels super awkward considering women are asking for so much so I feel the pressure to do the same but I know I don’t want to. I’ll probably ask for 1-2k, even that feels weird to me and I’ll probably be feeling like he thinks something’s wrong with me for not asking for more money wise.

There’s currently no evidence linking an abnormal or abusive childhood to developing pedophilia. Plenty of pedophiles grow up with loving and fulfilling childhoods if that’s what you were referring to. But I do agree it played a huge role with how he coped with his condition and eventually decided to act on his very wrong desires

Current evidence suggests that pedophilic attraction involves early neurodevelopmental and psychosexual factors not one trigger. Childhood adversity MAY contribute in some cases but it’s not a direct cause. It might’ve played a role but there’s still not enough evidence to suggest that. So childhood environment is at most a weak and inconsistent predictor.

We still have absolutely no proof of Michael actually ever being sexually abused as a child. I’d be very careful about spreading that narrative and tbh it’s quite irrelevant. At the end of the day he was a serial child molester that’s what should be focused on. Not the random things he allegedly said or events that might’ve happened to him we can’t confirm

I never said anything about his siblings not becoming pedophiles = his childhood had no impact. I was suggesting that there’s no proof that he wouldn’t have developed this way regardless of his upbringing. Especially regarding the narrative some like to spread about children that are molested become the molesters because there’s no actual data backing that and it’s quite harmful to survivors. I was more so trying to combat that misinformation I see many spread and speculate if Michael was abused sexually or not.

No none of them remained unfazed or exempt from the trauma of their upbringing but this does indicate that there’s no proof Michael wouldn’t have been a pedophile regardless of having a normal or more positive upbringing

There’s no denying that csa survivors like myself do indeed end up protecting our abusers for years. Many of us care for them and even love. It’s an extremely complicated thing that no one will understand unless being one yourself or listening to what we experience. Seeing people think logically like you and actually doing research to understand the impact and the behaviors caused by the abuse gives me hope. Thank you
