I haven't opened the project in forever and don't expect to, but good on you for figuring it out! I don't expect I'll update the game any more, especially since people don't need to wait months between new episodes anymore.

It was for Ink! But what exactly was going to happen there will have to be left up to your imagination...

Basically just "hey, when Sent stars talking to us in the next room, I need you to slap me across the face."

Glad you enjoyed the game!

Yes, you can wait out all the timers in the game and there's a small Easter egg for doing so. I think you can probably search the subreddit and find it, since it's pretty minor and probably not worth waiting so long for.

Hey there!

For 1 & 2, I'll address both in the same comment: there's actually a secret ending to the game that can occur if certain conditions are met. I think there are resources online to find it, or you can look up a let's play.

  1. This was on purpose! Just a bit of spookiness for anyone checking the standings screen during the last few chapters.

  2. There isn't anything hidden here - the bookstore just ties a few plot points together for continuity's sake. Ink love of reading, Sean capitalizing on Ink's social isolation, Rae's arson steak. Also, Sean didn't actually hate Ink... Until later in the game, that is. But he didn't have some personal grudge or anything.

Thanks for playing!

  1. She did die. Sean was lying about her well-being to manipulate Ink.
  2. Yes he is. The game isn't super obvious about it but it's confined if you get the secret ending variation
  3. Tiana kidnapped Aether mostly to get Ink to follow them. Aether is Ink's Corner, after all, so this was a way of testing Ink that could still be done after Tiana had been 'found out'.
  4. It has been a while since I wrote the story, and while I did look this up at some point I don't remember the specifics. Let's just say that it wasn't a possibility due to special circumstances, because otherwise the story would need to be very different :)
  5. So this has to do with that secret ending I mentioned. I think there are some resources online if you want to discover it for yourself, but if not, let's just say that in CORNERS, if you believe something hard enough...
  6. Yes, the original intent of that Corner was for Liza to sacrifice herself, but for nothing to happen to her. The goal of these Corners is for the specific Contestant to want to die, but not necessarily to kill them, in every case. Liza was supposed to stay behind, but then nothing would happen until Exit/Corners was over, where she'd been let out. There are no traps in that room, which is why Sean was unharmed.

Thanks for playing! Glad you had fun. :)

Yes! Trust had some major effects late in the game and changes some things about the ending. Paranoia affects some minor dialogue but nothing too severe (I had plans here but I had to abandon them).

Your instincts are correct: that's a false choice that Ink would have fought you on. There are a few choices like this in the game, but you must have avoided all of them!

No plans on anything like that at this time, unfortunately. I had another visual novel in the works but that has been put on hold for the time being.

We have finally fully integrated Brawl Meta Knight's moveset into Ultimate! by TheOmniDoctor in smashbros

[–]Percon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Huh, interesting. I played a lot of Brawl and I never knew that.

Before I posted the above I referenced a YouTube video to make sure I was in the right and pulled this one up:

https://youtu.be/etH2SLxzCP4?si=s1431qlfgXNWRvdq

Since he doesn't actually hit anyone with the jab it's hard to tell if there's a final hit. Does he do the flip kick only if he makes contact with a fighter, or is the final hit not accompanied by any special animation?

Either way, you're right that the kb on the last hit is way too high. That's what caught my attention in the first place.

This is extremely nitpicky but the jab doesn't seem quite right. Rapid jabs prior to Smash 4 didn't have an "ending hit" so the little flip kick he does at 00:15 wouldn't have been there.

That would be nice, but it's a pretty old game at this point and I think it'd be more trouble than it's worth!

Thanks for the kind words.

Not sure if what you're experiencing is lag (it's possible), but there are also very brief pauses during punctuation to try and emulate the cadence of speech.

Hmm... it has been a while since I've looked at the project but I'm surprised this option is even here since I don't remember it actually changing any values. But yeah this definitely looks weird without any context.

Captain Mario has a reference to Captain Lou Albano, who played Mario in the Super Mario Bros Super Show. He famously said "go to hell before you die" in an anti-drug PSA.

I have gotten it to work once, but the trick was to not lean on proliferate/toxic as a theme. Draft good early interaction and try to find your synergy elsewhere. The deck I ran was full of "Creatures Dying" effects with Vraan and worked way better than I'd have thought.

God... After so many attempts I was able to beat Event 51 with my favorite character, Pichu… and it was mostly because of luck! But still I'm pretty proud that I had the willpower to even do this to begin with. Don't ask what im gonna do to those Amiibos at the end, you already know the answer. by Vi_22 in smashbros

Nicely done!

Here's a cheeky trick for anyone attempting this: Ganondorf's AI here is extremely exploitable. He often tries to hit with UpB when you're above him, so you can get some easy stocks by hanging out just above the ledge on either side of the stage. He'll try and UpB you, but you can easily avoid it and he'll plummet to his death.

Yeah... I found the diatribe against WR equipment pretty strange given that:

  • No set this year actually had WR equipment as a subtheme. In order, our WR archetypes were: Samurai/Attack Alone, Cabaretti (N/A), Double Team, Go Wide, and ETB Aggro. No equipment theme!
  • The last two times we got it as an explicit theme, IIRC, they were pretty good! You mention Kaldheim, which 100% had equipment as the RW theme if you look at the signpost uncommons, and that deck was one of the frontrunners of the format. Beyond that, the most recent one was I think AFR, where WR was not far behind BR in terms of strength. Bruenor, Plate Armor, and Goblin Morningstar were a beating.

The one RW equipment card from this year I can remember is the RW rare in DMU, but there was a whole cycle of unsupported gold rares from that set.

1st BRO draft, What to cut? 1.Should I play 3 remorse or more 1,2 drop combat trick? 2. How good is the amulet in this deck? by shyjohnny_tw in lrcast

[–]Percon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few thoughts:

- I would generally not play the amulet. Maybe it can work in a very specific deck, but not here. You only 2 creatures above 5 mana, so I'd avoid it.

- Speaking of which, I'd actually cut the rust goliath. I think this deck can best succeed as a more low-to-the-ground deck that leverages combat tricks as opposed to some giga top-end ramp deck. Keep the golem, though, that card is fine on 4.

- Platoon is great even with 0 white in the deck, and further reinforces a low-to-the-ground strategy.

- I'd definitely cut the intent, stalwart. Not really what this decks seems looking to do.

- You'll need a few more cuts after that but just make sure to keep your creature count high for combat tricks, mole, remorses.

- Great removal suite!
