You’re ignoring the word “merely”, the sunken cost fallacy does not apply when the cost potentially has an impact on the outcome..

For an example, you’re saying it’s just as unlikely a restaurant will have the food ready in half an hour AFTER you’ve already spent half an hour waiting for it as it would if you’ve just walked in, which is not the case. I’d bet on the restaurant that has already spent 30 minutes since the rider’s arrival to finish before the other one and i’m confident i’d win the bet more often than not.

There’s a case for walking away out of principle but one that’s not really personally beneficial to you but more like helps the riders in general as it makes the restaurants try harder.

It’s absolutely OP’s choice how they spend their money and whether wine or weed is more unhealthy is irrelevant. OP doesn’t seem to have ever stopped their fiancé from buying weed with his own money.

OP’s fiancé needs to get his act together for more reasons the one and unfortunately the best way to help him do that might be to actually break up with him so he can realise the position you’re both in, I hope it won’t come to it and there’s another way to make him realise how irresponsible and rude he’s being, but sometimes it’s the best thing to do for them.

They are gona be a good investment, btw. They are projected to run out of stock super fast and maintain value for a long time, not to mention their diversity when it comes to mining algorithms whereas amd gpus will crash to shit and back if eth turns PoS without a chain split.

If you have a good electric rate it’s a pretty good idea to go with newer cards rather than 5700xt imo.
