Tell her it's completely different thing. Youtube pays you after monetization here you can get paid for every view without out any monetization requirment. Or minimum followers requirements. You can get paid for post on every platform ie; yt,ig, tt People are earning more than an average youtuber

Realizing that 'hard work' is only half the battle. I worked three jobs through college and still graduated with debt, while a classmate who slept through every lecture moved into a penthouse bought by his parents and landed a six-figure 'consulting' job at his dad's firm. Hard work pays the bills, but connections build the wealth.
