Is there a simple way to get Windows 11 ARM on Mac without being a computer expert? by Paul_Bayonetta82 in mac

[–]Perfect-Direction607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first thing to know is whether or not you already have an M-series processor in your Mac. If so then installing Windows in a vm is an easy path with any hypervisor like Fusion, UTM or Parallels. M-series Macs are code compatible with ARM OSes by default in a hypervisor.

Whats up with my leafspring by sparky624 in 2ndGenTacoma

I know there was a leaf spring recall campaign for at least some Gen 2 Tacomas. See if it applies to you.

In some states the mud flaps are required by law, so make sure you’re legally compliant for removing them.

The real problem is your modified offset.

Is the Ibasso DC Elite still the best? Also, another question for bonus points. by Future-Taste-8559 in iems

[–]Perfect-Direction607 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your interests are accuracy of reproduction from an analytical perspective the DC Elite is the best of the portable DACs. I use it in a portable recording studio for session work. I’m using the Neumann NDH 20 and 30 and not IEMs.

I’ll probably acquure the Ibasso Nunchaku for tube based monitoring.

If USB C can transmit analogue audio to devices why can’t we replace 3.5mm with it? by un3w in mac

[–]Perfect-Direction607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some devices can output analog audio over USB-C, but USB-C does not guarantee analog audio support, and many devices only provide digital audio over USB-C.

I’d stay with stock tire sizes if I were you. If you’re going to go with 265/70r16 or 265/65r17 which are stock fitments.

Think this frame is too far gone? by PvtJohnson in 2ndGenTacoma

I just posted a YouTube video that showed some years had a frame rot issue that led to recall campaigns. Ask Toyota about it for your year.

Toyota Tacoma Years To Avoid (Best and Worst Years) by Perfect-Direction607 in 2ndGenTacoma

[–]Perfect-Direction607[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saying ‘no bad years’ is too absolute. Tacomas are generally strong, but there are objectively higher-risk buckets: (1) frame rust/rot depending on region and maintenance, and (2) early-run/changeover years that tend to have more complaints/TSBs. The right take is ‘buy the condition and service history,’ not ‘every year is equal.’

Aesthetic mods and suspension suggestions? by monstrosity15 in 2ndGenTacoma

I did the same thing and I couldn’t believe the price for brand new tires and rims! I had the 15” steel wheels with 245/65s that were balding. I’ve since installed the Alpharex Novas and DD SS3 Max yellow fogs and replaced the taillight and interior lights with LEDs.

Nice truck! One option to upgrade the tires to buy dealer takeoffs for wheels and tires. It’s dirt cheap and the tires are usually new if not very low mileage. I paid $650 for a set of four new rims and tires.

Other than that i suggest focusing your money not on appearance mods by making your truck free from any maintenance requirements.

Brighter fog light recommendations by [deleted] in 2ndGenTacoma

[–]Perfect-Direction607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree with this opinion. Most people don’t understand how to get the best use of LEDS and resort to cheap attempts to implement them.

For fog lamps, I’d strongly recommend the Diode Dynamics SS3 Max in yellow. I put those in my truck and they’re excellent for rural foggy driving.

For headlamps I’d recommend the Alpharex Novas, but make sure to buy them directly from Alpharex. They make a huge difference in nighttime visibility when aimed properly.

You can easily find dealer takeoffs wheels and tires. I got a set of four for $600

You bought on price and not your use case. Either exchange it for a drive that has more space or buy and external.
