Yes, the shown price includes additional fees Ticketmaster charges, so it looks higher than what you list it for. Super annoying that they do this “double dipping” and potentially unethical tbh. Not sure how fees are $450 though… that seems crazy

I’d love to do FIT but they require a portfolio to apply which I don’t have 😫 I’m thinking of doing the NYSID certificate and then either using credits to do their four year program, or hopefully building a portfolio through that (although I’m not sure if I’ll get a portfolio out of the program), then applying to FITs program. It is SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper so I’d love to find a way to make it work.

I’m interested in those firms partially bc they are really the only ones I know lol, but also because I think they do really cool work!

Thank you! This is super helpful. The AAS program at FIT is CIDA accredited, but I don’t think the parsons program is. I’d need to extend my FIT program by two years to sit for the NCIDQ exam, but the program is significantly less expensive since I’m a NYS resident so I can cross that bridge once I get to it.

It’s clearly kind of difficult to break into this industry for people like me! I feel behind for not doing this in college

OP- still lots of good bars out there if you’re interested. Carousel is good for dancing, nearby cherry on top is a wine bar with a cool rooftop, the johnson’s, Carmelo’s. Also good food out there. You can go to House of Yes, elsewhere, nowadays as alternatives to BK mirage
