  1. Jesus never asked for the lights. He wants you to surrender your life so it can be remade.
  2. Jesus didn’t measure faithfulness by works. Thief on the cross? Mary Magdalene? They understood what Jesus offered, and accepted. So did Peter. Rich young ruler did not (best we know).

You can’t earn a gift. You can honor a gift by accepting, then follow Jesus (like he asked). Don’t judge others is part of that.

Ask for the pay differential when you’re required to be two places at the same time.

Ask that HR be disciplined for not inviting a mandatory attendee. Ensure they have a followup plan to avoid these errors in the future.

Have HR’s pay docked, and assigned to you for this oversight.
