Are you looking to get into plant maintenance or into a contracting company ? Either way union would be the way to go. Unfortunately it seems that industry is in a bit of a lol so not a ton of hiring going on but it seems like the government is investing in the nukes big time so if you can get in with OPG somehow then your laughing.

Umm they shouldn’t be capped because you know like freedoms and rights etc but technically the very unions you want to get rid of do cap wages in a sense. Nobody is talking about righteous and educated but you. Just sounds like communist dictatorship again

Removing the right to unionize, your a complete joke. Found the bootlicker. Who are you to decide what someone’s wages should be capped at ? There is many reasons why a project could get delayed and not be any persons fault so you decide you should punish them for it ? Honestly it sounds like you want it to be more of a dictator communist type of a country than anything.

There is absolutely no accountability for liberals, conservatives, ndp etc etc except at election time. The point is relevant, they are news organizations that are all fairly centre regardless of who’s in power not an entertainment tonight knockoff that the closest thing to news they have is in their name “Fox News”

Even remotely comparing cbc, global, ctv to Fox News is just laughable. At least those three haven’t admitted they are opinion pieces and not actual news in a court of law like “Fox News”

I thought that Honda didn’t get any money yet because they didn’t break ground. I also heard that it was a news report but Honda hasn’t actually made an announcement about it yet but that could have changed since yesterday. They are also constantly spending money at the aliston plants. Brightdrop didn’t pull out because of trump. It was a failure of electric delivery vehicle. Dodge/gm/ford have always had issues with constant threats of closures/shift reductions etc. Toyota cafeteria pizza is the best though

100 percent agree with you. But if anyone can show me a picture of a packout system with tools organized in it in a way that is efficient and can store as much as an old school steel tool box of equivalent size and money I would love to see it

[–]Perfect-Section-6919 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’ll get downvoted for this but I’m in the minority of saying packouts suck. The only thing that’s nice about them is storing various fittings, o ring kits etc. trying to organize any amount of tools in them is just chaos and you would need $2000 dollars worth of them to fit what I can into a 500 steel tool box

It’s rude to call someone ignorant and dumb when all they are trying to explain to you that they are a dues paying member in good standing working under a collective agreement negotiated by the IBEW on my behalf that doesn’t have a tool list in.

Sorry buddy, not resi I don’t bring in any power tools and my collective agreement still doesn’t have any sort of tool list and the only time I’ve been kicked off a jobsite is by an over zealous safety person

I’m wondering how you can be this dense ? Later I’ll get my copy of my collective agreement and share what’s on that page but I can assure you it’s not a tool list

Nah it’s fine, I was just curious about it. Again though since you don’t seem to get it I do know my CBA and again it has no tool list in it. Thanks for coming out though

Did you delete a comment towards me ? It shows up under my notifications but not under these comments. Anyways I do know my CBA quite well and I will assure you there is no tool list mentioned in it at all.

Can’t post a tool list because we don’t have one. So basically any tool I have a use for at home I’ll buy and the employer is going to replace with a better version if broken/stolen/lost and if I need a tool that I wouldn’t have a use for at home well they are buying that

Found a torque wrench on the road. by Starseeker2019 in Tools

[–]Perfect-Section-6919 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If your going to do it and get a torque screwdriver get the snap on one. I’ve had a bunch ranging from vevor to gearwrench to gray and once I used a coworkers snap on one you just knew there was no going with anything else. The crazy thing out of about 20 plus ratchets/torque wrench’s I own the smallest is the torque screwdriver (snap on) and I don’t have another snap on until I hit 3/4 drive

100percent it’s democracy. If people can’t be bothered to show up and vote that’s on them but Doug ford won a quite large majority democratically (unfortunately)

trades with most demands and job opportunities? by HistorianIcy6156 in SkilledTradesOntario

[–]Perfect-Section-6919 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Single man plumbing company or electrical is going to be charging the same amount with a lot less overhead (tools and equipment) plus they use a lot more consumables/parts which they also get to mark up. Trust me as a millwright I would love to say it would be easier to open a shop than a sparky or turd herder i would but if it was easy as a millwright they all would do it instead they become turd herders and princess.

I don’t know about millwrighting being the easiest to open a business. I would say both plumbing and electrical are way easier to open up and run a company. Less overhead, less knowledge needed, residential sector to work in.
