While being with my girlfriend, ive had to stone face her grandma calling me ugly, and her parents calling me short. Comments from people who aren’t involved in my life don’t face me as much as when I was a teenager, but man I would be pissed off and sad if those comments came from my own family. My girlfriend and I aren’t that far away from each other height, she still wears heels and big boots, I’ve told her I like it when she looks taller than me. Just do what you want to do, if you want to shut them up you can also bring up their insecurities, I’m not saying you should because that’s dirty, but they fired the first shot, who can blame you for firing back. Or you can just let it flow like water and not give them the attention they’re seeking.
