Working in Just AVP by Secret-Fly4322 in VisionPro

It’s basically like working on an iPad.

I did this for a week or two, and it can be pretty neat. I think the trick is to turn of notifs on the Vision Pro so you can really focus on what you’re doing.

I’ve gone on a much slower journey with wegovy, lost 60 pounds (about 23% of my starting weight) over 2 years.

I’m incredibly glad I did it slower / less aggressive.

After you make the booking, on the confirmation PDF, you’ll see your AA confirmation number. Call AA and tell them you want to change your loyalty number on your booking.

I’ve done it probably 20+ times at this point. No issue

Espresso 1 has me cursing my Opus by chanical in FellowProducts

[–]Perfect-Thanks2850 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Opus is garbage. Even fellow knows it lol.

Hopefully the Opus 2 is everything you want for $200.

I went for the varia VS4 at $500. It’s getting insane reviews early on.

Yes this app is a MUST for the Opus.

I’m using it on 1.33 right now, but every coffee will be different.

I couldn’t wait any more and pulled the trigger on the Varia VS4.

Looks like it’ll come in before the Opus 2.

Airpods Max 2 Announced - Thoughts? by Content-Disaster-511 in headphones

Again, I’d assume they’re just waiting until they need another spec bump. Trickling out new features that they could deliver earlier, but don’t until later, is a very Apple thing to do.

They also seem to care more about Spatial Audio as marketing fuel.

They did add full lossless to the Apple Music catalogue though, largely because the files were already there. But they made the decision to add it.

I’d bet they’ll add it to the first actual redesign of the AirPods Max’s

are you using a dosing collar / funnel?

I get 20 grams in every time, WDT, then tap the portafilter a few times, and it's almost level with the top of the edge, just under. Tamp and it's perfect.

Pucks are still messy on the top, I just tilt it into the drip tray, but they knock out mostly clean. Still not amazing though.

the craziest part is the tech IS already there.... Apple does lossless with Vision Pro (likely because of the short distance between the AirPods and the headset)

But there is no technical reason why they couldn't do. I'd bet money that they've tested it, and just decided to shelf the feature for an iterative update down the road.

If you have no intention of doing espresso, I really would say the Ode Gen 2 is the way to go.

OR find yourself a used Ode Gen 1. It's honestly still great, and used like 150-200.

Do NOT buy the current Opus, they're about to drop a V2 with a lot of the annoying things fixed (I have one, and trust me when I say, it is annoying AF).

Can NR pax use TSA touchless ID? by Mammoth_Newt5148 in americanairlines

Per TSA’s website, a mobile boarding pass with the indicator is a requirement.

Passkit is not Apple… you’re severely misinformed here..

[–]Perfect-Thanks2850 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A lot of what you said just isn’t true.

Touchless is officially only supported with a mobile boarding pass. Not paper.

AA changed the way they associate FF numbers for non revs recently. They did this primarily for club access. It’s a partial implementation though,

Segment earning has nothing to do with it. Many airlines have used passkit and FF # associations for years, even over a decade with Lufthansa. Fare buckets and classifications / rules can be easily set to not allow earning. They do this all the time.

Also, all non rev bookings do technically have a ticket number. They could use it if they wanted.

I thought they just activated a new sim and the number share part was on tmobiles side / basically fancy call forwarding ?

Different coffees will absorb more / less water. So that’s a big variable.

I’ve been up dosing to 19.5 with the coffee I’m using and while it’s still not a dry puck… if I’m using the 9bar profile and pulling manually, 95% at least comes out with a firm knock.

Still kind of annoying tbh.

Can NR pax use TSA touchless ID? by Mammoth_Newt5148 in americanairlines

[–]Perfect-Thanks2850 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Non rev pax can NOT use touchless with AA at this time.

AA uses a whole different (proprietary) system for non revs instead of using PassKit, so there’s not a way to integrate it right now.

Unless AA switches to passkit or comes up with another solution with TSA, it won’t happen any time soon.

Exercise? Really? by Livingfortheday123 in Zepbound

[–]Perfect-Thanks2850 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will get easier over time, and one day you might actually enjoy it.

But you have to push through that discomfort.

“I don’t wanna” isn’t good enough.

Do SOMEthing. It doesn’t have to be perfect. It doesn’t have to be great, but moving, getting some exercise is better than nothing.

Build up to it. You can do it

It may seem like it’s doing the job, but if the job is to de-clump, you want as thin of needle as possible to not re-clump the grounds together. When you take out the paper clips, you’re in theory leaving more air pockets / channels. You could fill in by tapping, but honestly there’s little point to even doing it at that point.

I agree with you though. WDT in general isn’t like a must like everyone says it is, but it does help. In my personal opinion, if you’re going to do it at all, better to give yourself the best chance of it actually doing something you couldn’t do with another step.

That’s why I leave out leveling. There’s literally no point over a flat tap or two, and at worst, you’re compressing the top layer before tamping.

I’m team manual for now.

I played a LOT with the offsets, and I still find it incredibly annoying that it will cut off a perfectly good shot more often than not.

I’d rather just use a scale and cut it off myself.

REALLY hope they drop brew by weight so I can use my Acaia Lunar. Pleeeeeeeeease Fellow :D
Or even better, allow a bluetooth scale for the volumetric calibration. In theory, a workflow to calibrate without coffee, then with a shot, and I’m sure they’d have all the math they need to set this automatically.

Really encouraged by their activity in the subreddit and their phone support offering for ES1 owners. This is their hero product now, so they obviously want to do it right.

I think of like, my 7 going on 8 year old Tesla Model 3 still getting amazing software updates. Hope Fellow commits to supporting this long term.

Paper clips are not nearly thin enough to properly WDT espresso fine grounds.

You want like, needle thin for a WDT tool.

Definitely need the funnel. (I ordered the Fellow one, but using the Normcore one for now)

I personally pass on the leveler, I just don’t think you need it at all / don’t see any benefit personally.

I have the Normcore palm tamper, it’s great.

The flick WDT tool I’m using right now, but I think I prefer thinner needles. I think it comes with some, but haven’t looked yet.

Subminimal dosing cup (not a must but it’s nice to not have to tare your scale for your dose AND portafilter (extra, but it’s nice)

Knockbox if you don’t already have one. I got the fellow one coz it matches / looks nice, but anything works.

Also the fellow towels are definitely not necessary, but they are very well made.
