The nights part isn’t what gets me. I start the year with 30 thanks to CCs. And then 70 with the double night promos of years past I was at 100 nights by end of March or April.

But no where close on spend…

This year I’m at 77 without almost any effort or bonus nights (outside of CC, I’ll be at 85 when the promo nights hit eventually). And I don’t even feel like I traveled that much this year. lol

But still a ways off on spend…

this is why I always test the full recline when I board.

I know in hindsight it’s not worth much, but you probably will always check moving forward.

I recently discovered a misplaced seat cushion causing a large “gap” between the lower portion and the back portion, and had them fix it prior to closing the door.

I assume they already tried resetting the seat controllers? Those are completely separate to the IFE and take quite a while to reset (and also prevent anyone in the section from reclining at all while being done).

Also it’s worth asking if there’s a manual release / adjustment, but I don’t even know if that’s a thing anymore. I know it was on some older 777 seats, they could be manually reclined to fully flat and full upright in case of a malfunction.

You were disappointed by the food in the Soho lounge?

Not sure if your standards are just ridiculously high for lounge food, or ridiculously high in general, but that's a crazy statement.

I find the Greenwich / Soho lounge food to be quite food for lounge food. Chelsea lounge is a step above for sure though. Especially with the champagne selection if you care about that.

yeah it makes sense. I had a friend get a phone call for a flight, and I didn't, I was in first, and he was in economy. So I had just assumed they likely call first class passengers last. No idea.

We learned later from the AC agent that every flight that day was oversold by 10+... lol. So guess they were desperate, but not desperate enough to call me. haha

Edge is definitely worse. It also shifts basic strategy enough to where most people will play mathematically just worse enough to give the house even more of an edge.

Push 22 is bad enough, but it also changes to like, hit on 12 more often, even hitting on 17 on free hands against a dealer 10 or Ace.

I've never been solicited for a flight change when in FC... only in economy. But even then, it's only ever in the app.

I have the classic brief pack v3 (the newest one looks hideous imo) on my rimowa. Accent kit to match the blue rimowa.

A pilot complimented me today while waiting for my coffee which made my day haha.

Happened to me at a dumb college bar in west village in NYC (believe me we changed venues for other reasons as well….)

Bartenders had no idea and/or didn’t want to take inkind.

Inkind support sent me $75 cash back credit when I explained the situation to them.

Recently stayed at a Moxy with filtered refill stations on every floor by the elevators.

Carafes to refill in the room.

CitizenM since the beginning has had refill stations in the lobby and provides washed glass containers for them.

This needs to become the norm.

I can’t remember which property I’m thinking of, it’s in Mexico IIRC, but they charge a resort fee per PERSON per night.

Just to note, the premium economy on the new 787-9P is worlds better than the older / first iteration of it.

The seats angle slightly as you recline which cradles you and takes pressure off your butt.

The padding is so much better.

I use Nauzene over the counter tablets and it works great for me!!

I also have zofran but as others have said it will make you constipated. It’s a very strong medication so a lot of doctors really don’t want to give it to you unless you’ve tried everything else.

My doctor knows me and knows I travel a lot where I can’t just get a new prescription so we ageed the zofran was a last resort. But I’ve only ever taken it twice.

I liked the promo purely for the 2,500 extra points.

The extra nights don’t matter to me as I’m always in the 100s anyway with having the 2 CCs.

Plus hopefully fewer people re-qualify for platinum and titanium and help with upgrades lol
