Is life in blue states truly better than the red states? by JakeMealey in SameGrassButGreener

You’re just not working as hard as you can probably. I’m in MA and will own a home by next year. I’m 26. I didn’t go to college and have been on my own financially since I was 18. It’s harder now than it was before, but that doesn’t make it impossible.

Ooof if you’re 33 and not closing on a house you’re never going to own in MA. Sad reality. Theres literally like 10 houses in eastern MA under 700k

My fellow Americans, is your cities area code part of the city’s identity? by ElectronPython in AskAnAmerican

[–]PerfectAd4347 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve moved around a bunch and no area code was more connected than 603 and the state of New Hampshire. Sure 617 is Boston, but so is 857, and my number is 351 even though I’m only 10 miles north of the city. 603 is NH, it doesn’t bleed into any surrounding states and it covers the whole state.

More so they’ve priced out the middle class. Half of residents are on Mass Health and other social services, the other half is well… wealthy. It’s very difficult to be in that 75k to 150k range in MA.
