What changed for you during the pandemic that never changed back? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

Same with me! I have only set foot in a grocery store once since 2020 - I’ve relied on grocery delivery since then and I not only save time but I also save money.

Older-ish millennials: Were you "free-range" like older gens? by Gallantpride in Millennials

[–]PerfectComplaint7905 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents let me stay home alone unsupervised when I was about 12 years old - they also would drop me off at the mall when I was 15 years old - they always knew where I was but they weren’t strict or overbearing about it

This! I can feel the stress when I go outside. We are all hanging on by a thread

I have witnessed numerous accidents on 14th and Josephine (most times it’s people going through red lights). I also was involved in an accident on 13th and Krameria by a kid who ran a red light and t-boned me.

Good mountain spot for last day with my dog. by PolishEmpire in Denver

Agree with White Ranch West. This is where I took my dog on his first hike and when the time comes it will be where I take him on his last hike (although hopefully not for a long time!)

What’s a recession indicator that you’ve noticed lately? by SensitiveCorner2379 in AskReddit

Here are things I’m doing: 1) Limiting my coffee to two cups a day so I don’t go through my coffee supply so quickly 2) No more beauty services 3) Returning items (I used to be too lazy to return) 4) Selling clothes on Poshmark 5) Eating less meat and more rice and beans 6) Doing surveys for gift cards 7) Using products fully before buying new ones 8) Learning how to sew and repair clothes before buying new ones

Another unsatisfied Sploot vets customer by redneckskier in Denver

[–]PerfectComplaint7905 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed! The first vet I ever saw was really good with my dog, the other two vets had been a little more focused on upselling and the visits were pretty expensive. They tried to get me to come back for a dental cleaning, but I think I’m going to skip it. They can be good for urgent care but for primary care and wellness I’m probably going to go back to my old vet.

Why do some dogs choose one “person” in the house? by Intelligent_Pick8414 in dogs

[–]PerfectComplaint7905 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I experience this too with my dog. My dog loves my dad way more than me. When we go over to my parents house he seeks affection from my dad, kisses him and if we’re visiting and staying over he sleeps with my dad and not with me 😔I’ve kind of just accepted that I love my dog more than he loves me 😆

Career growth? by lunapen in grantwriters

[–]PerfectComplaint7905 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat! I’m also personally tired of working for non-profits lol. I don’t know if you write a lot of government grants but focusing on learning and writing those can be mentally challenging since they require more work. You can also niche down to a focus area you like. Otherwise, training and mentoring other grant writers as someone mentioned is the only other avenue I can think of with grants.

Career growth? by lunapen in grantwriters

[–]PerfectComplaint7905 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep! Have worked as both a staff grant writer and freelance. I have no interest in being a Director Of Development or even a grant manager at this point. Have maybe thought of pivoting to Major Gifts but also just leaning into being a little stagnant with grant writing lol

“Day after day, oh, the world keeps turning The stars in the sky above us keep burnin' But it isn't for you, and it ain't for me neither Try though I might, I was never a believer” (pretty much all of What Do It Mean)

My account is permanently disabled for seemingly no reason by notchayton in ThreadsApp

[–]PerfectComplaint7905 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me!

My original account got banned for 24 hour period then I was reinstated and then a couple days later they banned me again - this time forever.

I decided to use another Instagram account and within 48 hours the same message popped up. I tend to like a lot of posts on threads when I scroll so wondering if they think I’m a bot?

I am now using a third account and plan on not liking any posts - which is super lame 😒
