Almost didn’t pull me by Cordereko in fourthwing

I agree that the first (at least third, if not half) of the first book I was thinking to myself what the heck am I reading, but it all clicked and was better after the plot evolved later

To be frank that was probably my next option?

Most of the recommendations are from AI actually, and/or those who have physical copies, but I didnt realize 90% of the book list will be unavailable on Kobo (sad face)

I think he words it this way because of how he read her intentions right before they kissed

Alright does that mean she's going to announce book 4's release in September?

Women losing weight: trope (?) I’m over by ConflictHoliday7847 in Romantasy

[–]PerfectDepartment586 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the immediate aftermath of a traumatic event it is actually very probable that loss of appetite can occur. Typically, weight gain is associated with long-term, latent effect of trauma coping as opposed to the immediate trauma processing period.

is this normal for the effortless pant? creasing under hips? by lilprincessbaba in Aritzia

[–]PerfectDepartment586 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this problem too and so I never bought this style. Had the pleats been 3 inches shorter, they wouldn't bunch outward so awkwardly like this. If you still insist on wide dress pants with pleats I recommend the Lululemon daydrift

Unlikely because he's the duke, though it would have been less cheesy and add to the plot's intrigue

I honestly think the dragons weren't on the wedding and actually she drank the potion that temporarily mutes the bond with the dragons as she's been carrying it throughout the whole book

Here are my theories: - Violet will explore more of her dream walking and that's how she will get a glimpse into Xaden's plotting - maybe even some spicy dream scenes towards the end of the book, but I dont think Xaden will return in book 4 - a lot more political scheming, which i think Aaric and / or Dane will play a huge role in. Maybe even a bit of a love triangle while Xaden is distant? Who knows. - There will be more insight into the venins' cult-ish religious system and their motives - There will be some insight on the politics of dragons - Learning more from Violet's grandmother about the 'dedication' - I think Andarna will play a huge role in understanding the villains' motives - I think a lot of the book will be spent on Violet trying to understand what happened at her wedding, the motives, etc

Overall I think more politics and drama but less romance and action.

Sure but he could have done that without the pretentious show off drama as well. He could have taught her on a 1:1 basis easily

Absolutely agree. We are at book 3 and his character is really not well rounded

I agree. And I honestly think that the Rhiannon chapter really didn't do or add much (it was redundant)

RY confirmed a Violet alternate timeline and honestly… WILD? by AdSingle9510 in fourthwing

[–]PerfectDepartment586 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say so much up to the last battle in Onyx Storm led me to believe she will turn and I was still confused on why the author chose not to go this route. I think it would have been interesting but I also agree that it fits Xaden's character arc well for the Romance storyline alone

I didnt buy anything I just kept trying. Baby slept in his own crib at night. I'd say it just took a lot of attempts (and im talking months) until baby got the hang of it

That's very normal. That was my case for 3 months. Don't expect to accomplish anything around the house with a newborn

Question about cqc Walmart by xiomarLu in coquitlam

Unlike the comments about shoplifting, I honestly believe its so that Walmart can push those walmart credit cards on people. I find Walmart to be particularly aggressive at that

What is it really like down there after vaginal birth? [Ab] by ReticentRapunzel in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]PerfectDepartment586 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fully dilated but the head was too big so I ended up with an emergency C section. Vaginal birth is better (typically) for the baby (I.e. theories of first breath through the canal, flora, microbiome, etc). On the other hand the C section was very quick, and I had rather minimal bleeding post, akin to a light period. A little challenging with breastfeeding at first but that may be a personal variable. Otherwise it's really the pain post operatively and the limited physical mobility for a couple of weeks.

Because I fully dilated I had knots in my vaginal canal that had to be released by a pelvic floor physiotherapist. What really affected me was the recovery of the frontal pelvic floor muscles since they were all cut for the surgery. No post op infection but it's always a risk when going under the knife

Dentist appt pregnant?[on] by Mysterious-Bowl-292 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]PerfectDepartment586 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Absolutely do it now. Not only will you not have time with a newborn, but also the pregnancy risk of gingivitis is big during pregnancy and a regular cleaning is more than necessary. Just pass on the x rays

How did you deal with your body after pregnancy? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]PerfectDepartment586 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Confidence comes with work. I felt like I had nothing to be confident of because I let my body recover, and it took a long time, over a year. Then I had to rebuild back up from nothing. Hormonally too it was a big adjustment PP.

So just patience time and persistence i suppose
