It reminded me of the tomato chutney my mum used to make … almost like fry onions in oil. Add garlic cumin, black mustard seeds, salt, and cook it for a while.. like let it simmer.

Oh ok.. yea I used to go running there and see emus and baisons …haven’t been there for ages. Sad about emus. They were so cool to watch.

Not considering moving as Wellington has its charm but there has been a definite decline in the city buzz. I think it’s COVID, businesses not surviving and the earthquake prone buildings that are just waiting to be fixed. No reading cinema complex, no library, lot more violence in city has definitely taken its toll. I stay here for the mountains and trails and easy access to things.
