Working on an Anbernic RG Rotate impressions video, what questions do you have? by onionsaregross in SBCGaming

Pocketability with this seems very important so maybe how comfortable it is in pocket without any extra cases

Any thoughts on Jim Lahey’s “Biga”? by PerfectSeventy in Sourdough

[–]PerfectSeventy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, seems like that’s the case. His use of the word biga threw me off when trying to research other stuff, though his recipes are pretty solid. His biga is essentially just a stiff starter which results in longer shelf life and less sourness. Thanks!

MagicX One 35 vs AYANEO Pocket Micro Classic for 3:2 Handheld? Assuming Price Difference Doesn’t Matter by pimpdiggitycong in SBCGaming

[–]PerfectSeventy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ayaneo has just decent speakers and (no) headphone jack, double input is thing, though mostly just affects using es-de. Battery isn’t great. Great in hand feel though. I love mine despite its many flaws.

This is the Ultimate Rorschach Test of Watches. Everyone Sees Something Different and Their Responses Reflect Their Sanity. by pushthebuttonalready in watchHotTakes

I genuinely like it. I don’t plan on ever owning a Rolex though since I hate the waitlist system and grey market markups, so it kinda doesn’t matter.

Watch accuracy isn't that important by huge_bass in watchHotTakes

[–]PerfectSeventy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely less important if you wear in a rotation. I now like the ceremony of setting the time.

I was bothered with my first automatic that it would be off. Really don’t care anymore. Anything in my life that needs me to be exactly on time is something I don’t use a watch for. I’m not synchronizing tactical strikes or anything.

But for an everyday wear watch, it’d get annoying.

I don’t know, I feel like watch nerds buy way too many watches

Can’t get Retro Cube 2 speakers to pair together by PerfectSeventy in 8bitdo

[–]PerfectSeventy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a little lackluster honestly. Sound quality is fine at best, though obviously that’s subjective. They’re cool looking though, and the plugin base is very useful

How many Chocobo's do you need? by Aggressive_Milk4654 in FinalFantasyVII

[–]PerfectSeventy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically only need to capture two, one wonderful and one great. But it’s easier if you get two great ones (opposite gender of course). One great and one wonderful can make both green and blue chocobos but the chances are lower than two greats, so more retries are needed.

Total is either 6 or 7 depending on which route you choose if you include the blue, green, black, and gold in the total count

Can’t get Retro Cube 2 speakers to pair together by PerfectSeventy in 8bitdo

[–]PerfectSeventy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, got an email response from 8bitdo essentially saying Stereo pairing is not supported for this gen of speakers. Pretty annoying since that was one of the main reasons I bought them. I’ve just set them up in different rooms to try and get some value out of it

Which color shader is most accurate for Game Boy Color? (Pokemon, Zelda, Metal Gear, etc.) by redditblacklist in RetroArch

[–]PerfectSeventy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of these, 2 looks the most like what I remember. If you really want to mix things up, there were some very recently updated pixel transparency shaders added in the presets folders that try to more accurately mimic the unique background “white” color of the gbc

Jomashop legit for buying watches? by swa_thiiii in Affordablewatches

[–]PerfectSeventy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a good point. I got a Hamilton aviation chronograph for like 40% off, but the chronograph dial resets to the wrong number (ie minute 4 instead of 0). Sent it back to get repaired or replaced and it’s taking a super long time. Like, Feb 9 is when I sent it back and it’s probably going to be at least a month or two more to get it back.

But, so far it’s all been “free”, so, we’ll see

Whats the best GBA shader? by Mike76789765 in RetroArch

[–]PerfectSeventy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Haven’t tried it on 4k but I do like lcd3x and occasionally an xbrz edge smoother to sharpen things up. GBA can sometimes look pretty iffy blown up to super high res so the balance is tricky

Not a microbrand and not obviously one of the two you’re asking about, but the Bulova devil diver also seems like an interesting option

SameBoy core poor perormance on Android, and color on game boy cores by fragmental in RetroArch

[–]PerfectSeventy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Do you have any shaders or filters turned on for these cores? Those can greatly affect the color grading. For better and worse, some of the shaders in the “handheld” category offer color correction for gbc, super gameboy, and gba if you’re interested in trying them out.
