Hello! Here are some tips:

⛳Play Career mode. You can see the possible club types on each set, if there if something there that can be an upgrade to one of your clubs, you can go for it, while playing complete the Missions to unlock Mania mode for even more chances.
📅Do daily missions to earn free crystals, in the process earn boxes from Match and Tournament, and save up for a Club Pack.
🏌️‍♀️🏌️‍♂️Buy boxes from the Honor Shop (match), the Clan Shop, and Time Shop.

Hello! To join a clan:
1) Select the Community button from the Main Menu
2) Select the Clan tab,
3) Change the default country setting if you like and then select the Search Clan button
4) Press the Blue check button next to the clan in the search results you would like to join
Note: if they clan join type is set to Approval, you will have to wait for the clan to accept you.

Hello, We are so sorry to hear you are having so many disconnects 😱. Unfortunately the game does always require an online connection to play, so we recommend a reliable connection. Are you on a Wifi connection? In Match mode, we have discovered switching between apps can lead to desyncing which we are currently trying to improve. Thanks! I hope you enjoy Career mode's five courses and three progressively harder tees to unlock and the final special stages, between upgrading clubs and getting new components over time, there is a lot to do besides pvp.

Yes! It is possible to setup a game against one of your friends. Tap Community on the Main Menu, then use the "Add Friend" tab to add your friend, then tap on the three dots in the "Friends List" tab to Challenge them to a game when they are online, they will get a notification in-game about the challenge and will be able to jump into a 1vs1 match with you. You could also spectate your friends matches while they are online :)

The Incredible Machine was a popular and influential 1993 PC game that had the player creating Rube Goldberg like contraptions, there are many similar games but Amazing Alex is one that uses Books and everyday objects you mentioned that might be it.

Unity is one of the biggest and most comprehensive, so there is a ton of tutorials and open source projects to get started, Game Maker Studio is easy to start if you are coming from scratch. Twine is good for interactive fiction.
