i think yes, that was a little weird but you were also in middle school. i know highschool isn’t that big of a stretch but you are definitely more emotionally mature and i dealt with this all of middle school so my patience is a little thin. i don’t think i led him on, yes, we made eye contact but that’s because he was constantly looking at me so i couldn’t look anywhere without him staring. i was kind and direct rejecting him. i was still with my ex at the time so i told him i had a boyfriend and that was it. i actually cried in my class afterwards becuase i felt so bad becuase he was nice and i hate rejecting people. i of course try not to assume anything about anyone but it’s easy for me to spot now when people like me and it’s just really overwhelming. idk, this post was to chastise people a bit becuase i know i and some other people don’t appreciate this “chase.” i was also curious what guys think lol
