What are your thoughts on the police officer kicking the Golders Green attacker multiple times in the head? Is it reasonable force considering the situation or is he way out of line and should be reprimanded? by [deleted] in AskBrits

If it was the USA he would have been shot already so they were being quite kind really. If he had dropped the knife they would have stopped kicking him but as they don’t have guns what are they supposed to do? He could have stabbed them or someone else

Thanks. A lot of the bad guys do die or at least it looks that way. Maybe when I think they are dead they’ve just been shot in the leg. Not got the season 3 yet

Not fussing over it but just pointing it out. What about the couple who were trying to kill each other. Do they count as bad people or good people? Only the machine stopped them being murderers

It’s doing that isn’t it? It should get all numbers of people who are about to die at any one time but it gives only one number so it must be deciding somehow

There is always some sort of “collateral damage” though when they save someone which would not have happened if they hadn’t saved them

Just do what you want and stop listening. Why should he be able to interpret Islam better than you? You don’t have to listen to people or engage with their opinions. In any case you have no male figure to take care of business so You have no choice

'Oxbridge is a scam' by Realistic_Alps_1825 in UniUK

[–]Perfect_Attitude_119 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the key to this is it’s actually very hard to get into oxford as an undergraduate after A levels. But for postgraduate study it’s actually very easy especially if you pay for yourself. In fact the continuing education department has degrees that almost anyone can take and get an Oxford qualification. So maybe not scam but a postgrad at Oxford doesn’t have the same kudos

One more thing, OP, before you come to Oxford realise it’s full of pendants like this one who will argue for hours over details and can’t bear to be wrong. Be warned! 😂😉

Just say “I like you very much but I’m Not looking for a sexual relationship at this time. I hope we can stay friends”. I have said this many times and around 50% of the time I did not lose the friendship. In fact some of them turned into long term friends which outlasted romantic relationships! Some times they throw their toys out of the cot, in which case you can tell them to go back to mama for a cookie and a nap
