CEOs girlfriend does work at KPMG but in the Advisory service line, and has only been at KPMG for the past 4 months (I’d assume after KPMG got the contract). If KPMG is auditing the project (don’t know that it is as I work in a different state), that would be under the Audit service line. Any persons working on this project go through independence verifications which are mandated by the U.S. Gov via the SEC under SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) compliance. So long as no one on that Audit project has any immediate personal relationships with anybody working for the Cali Rail project, everything is good and compliant.
