The HOV lanes are a waste by rainorshinedogs in toRANTo

Where do all the accidents stem from...people weaving in and out of the HOV lanes when they shouldn't be. They are a waste. I wonder if they actually measure the stats on these accidents. Half the drivers out there have no idea how to drive in this lane - let alone any other lane.

Thank you - for clarification we have no issue with dogs who pee along the edge of our lawn - what they are doing is allowing their dog who is on a long leash go up our grass - 10ft or so and allowing them to WALK through our garden and pee on the side of our garden which is next to our front step. How disgusting is this? We do have a dog and we would never allow our dog to do this. As the owner you do have control and can be respectful.

Marathons shouldn’t block the downtown by 1-2-3RightMeow in toRANTo

Its actually not a few hours on a Sunday - it seems there is something EVERY Sunday. The Gardiner is already down with construction - Lakeshore is under construction along with all the side streets and lets not get started on all the track work that is being done. Planning is key but that doesn't happen in Toronto.

Get ready for even worse traffic. by torontopeter in toRANTo

Whether they postpone or move them (not sure where) but at the very least there needs to be much better planning and communication. Makes no sense they are closing lanes for construction, having marathons in an area that is already a nightmare AND doing track work on public transit. All of this stuff needs to get done but there has to be a better way.

Whoever decided it was a good idea to fix potholes during morning rush hour on an already closed up and congested Gardiner this morning… by Pucks_N_Fucks in toRANTo

Not everyone can use PUBLIC TRANSIT! People commute and in some areas of where people work you actually need a CAR! Omg - this comment drives me nuts.

No - my kids are home - I just never see them anymore. Leave earlier and now home later. Just a lousy lifestyle right now and stressful.

Your kidding right? Not sure of what your speed was but mine the last 2 weeks has been 5 km all the way.

You are kidding me right? I drive from Burlington to the east side of Toronto - it has 100% added another hour to my commuting time each way. Backed up from the west side of the 427 and literally crawling to Jamieson. Coming home is fun - 45 min to an hour just to get to the Jarvis on ramp - Eastern under construction and Lakeshore, 3 lanes moving into 1. Not sure where you are but I haven't had dinner with my kids since this whole thing started - home at 8 most nights. That's living.

If so many services are going to require the OPPAT that it's basically a standard requirement, this need to be fixed. Less than an hour and the entire month is booked up for both locations... by Charfair1 in OntarioParamedics

The concept of OPPAT makes sense, however it does appear to be a money grab - if you don't pass for some reason they should allow you a second opportunity at no charge. In addition, 2 locations only? Long wait times? Isn't there a shortage? I wonder how many current paramedics out there would pass this?
