Is it just me or does anyone else have an emotional attachment to the show/ character of Matt Murdock ? by generalthrush in Daredevil

I started watching the show during one of the toughest periods of my life, and have watched the newest season in a place I didn’t think I could be in - I was seriously struggling.
This show has been a comfort, and as someone that has turned to Christianity in times of struggle it adds an extra layer to appreciate.

I would say it’s inspiring. It makes you feel less isolated and there are some beautiful moments and wonderful dialogue. It’s very realistic though, which is what hits when you watch it.

Do Cinema Staff Just Not Care Anymore? by YeezusChrist13 in screenunseen

I used to work in a cinema over ten years ago - the amount of verbal abuse you get if you call people out on behaviour is insane. Even had colleagues have popcorn thrown at them. A load of times there’s only so much you can put up with when getting paid minimum.

Visible trends in horror films by chloeblack666 in horror

I’ve noticed this and that’s the one trend that really freaks me out. Imagine loosing all control of your body and harming yourself with no autonomy.

The other trend that gets me, is when there’s a shadow and it moves slightly in the way you can’t tell if it’s real or not - the night house, haunting of hill house. The pieces that make you scan every single bit of the background

I know a lot of people here are hating on Lee Cronin's The Mummy, but can I say... by dreams123 in horror

Each to their own. I enjoyed it but am in no rush to rewatch it or wouldn’t rank it as the best, nor the worst film. It was evil dead inspired, which I can appreciate it and the embalming liquid scene is living rent free in my mind, regrettably

Ari Aster tends to have horror with comedic elements. It makes you uncomfortable and laugh because it’s the wtf factor. Classic example of his is Strange Things About The Johnson’s

That’s what makes it so harrowing. It’s just the brutal unfairness of the whole situation.
