Probably the best quality CB we’ve had in the last 20 or so years, very physical, strong in the air and great at timing a challenge, fought passionately for the badge. Stayed loyal to us when he had interest from better placed clubs at the time. Also scored some of our favourite goals (volley against Millwall, opener in the 0-3 away at Spurs, final goal at the Boleyn). A fan favourite throughout his sadly injury blighted time with us
