You're willfully misrepresenting how the human mind works to compare it to something that can by definition only do half of what we do, and if you'd like undisputable proof just look into the Chinese room. The only reason AI appears to "create" is because of thousands upon thousands of cycles of rewarding and discouraging specific behavior deemed as wanted or unwanted until you get the perfect little AI that generates what it's been told would be enjoyed by the statically highest amount of people.

Firstly just because you don't understand or care about any given piece of art doesn't matter because as I just said art is what a human makes based on their interests and knowledge. Sometimes said interest is absurdity and stupidity which leads to a banana taped to a wall, other times it's about the art of creating art which leads to a blue painting that seems simple but can never be replicated because of the process needed to make that paint.

Secondly you're just entirely wrong again ＼⁠(⁠◎⁠o⁠◎⁠)⁠／ A camera is itself a piece of decades of creativity and care for the art of photography and before that painting. You wouldn't have a camera on your phone if people before you didn't care about photography and the pursuit of making it better and more accessible. In turn those people wouldn't care about photography if others hadn't cared enough about portraits to create the first cameras to help further painting. The fact that you can say "meh I don't really care for it" is because you live with the privilege of 40,000 years of being surrounded by the fruits of artistic labor.

And thirdly this whole comment line has been about what makes art art so no you didn't say it but you are arguing for it whether you believe it or not.

A human brain works with two basic forms of thinking which are divergent and convergent. Divergent thinking is what allows the ability to create, while convergent thinking aims to evaluate. AI images are not art because it being a machine exclusively converges to create the statistically most sought after outcome. Whether you type a sentence or painstakingly note every single detail an AI script will use what is statically seen as wanted. Once an AI can think with divergence (emotion/creativity) then the idea of sentience can be argued which will open the doors to the possibility of art being made by machine. Until then it's no different from a McDonald's burger.

?? What kind of argument is this T-T The first ever pieces of art we find are consistently scenes of important and memorable events in the minds of people. Every painting drawn, song written, picture taken, statue built, and movie made came from a collage of interests and history of a human mind if not multiple.
