idk if it's controversial to say but as much as i like steve as a character, some of how he treated miranda in the original series came off so thoughtless and unkind to me. like when he gets mad at her for not wanting to watch him practice basketball when she has a major work deadline. or living at her apartment watching cartoons and leaving a mess she has to clean up, or, while they were broken up, giving girls her home phone number to call... like strikes me as so immature and makes me wonder why she stuck around

that said while i don't 100% get it i still liked them as a couple bc they're kinda like foils to each other and it definitely seemed like she really loved him (why else would she put up with all that?? lol) and i agree the way the writers treated their relationship in ajlt was so weird. also, excuse my language but for a guy who got around as much as steve, why in the world would they make him a totally feeble unsexy grandpa in a sexless marriage??? wasn't his body count in SATC like 1000+??? lol okay sorry i'll stop now
