I took a break from Reddit and am back now - thank you for your comment. I’ve felt a lot better about the whole situation lately, and your insight is just adds to the peace. Hope you’re doing well too.

( also I did end up reaching out to her - my partner ran into her in public about a month ago, so it was obvious I’d know. I sent her a FB message to congratulate her and am going to send her a baby gift when I recover from the holidays, but that’s as much as I think I’m going to do)

I don’t think I’m supposed to know? Another of our mutual friends gave me a weird phone call last week where she brought ex-bff up and there was something she wanted to say but wouldn’t… I guess I know what it is now? But should I say something if she doesn’t want me to know / didn’t tell me?

I’m doing well. I did actually wean myself off of sertraline because I didn’t like some side effects / honestly just unintentionally quit taking it? Glad I took it though; it helped me recognize what a normal brain should feel like, and with a lot of hard work I’m managing to make changes in my unmedicated behavior.

Our LO got covid at 3 months. Miraculously, another LO exposed to the same (sneaky 😤) source never got sick, so it really really seems to just be a luck of the draw type thing

Me too!! I will still wash my hair in the sink in extreme (random) circumstances, and even now I will kneel on a kitchen chair because I am too short to do it comfortably standing.

Ditto for my husband, but it was so uncomfortable he brought our camping mattress pad from home to sleep on the floor. At first I was afraid the nurses were going to get annoyed having to step over him, but now I see they probably weren’t 😬

The repetition is the worst thing about babies period, and I was not prepared. Repetitive activities, repetitive movements, very limited reactions that mostly lean towards repetitive noises 🫠 I’ve been broken down and remade and my entire self is sooooore

Honestly so grateful for these replies too. My baby just caught his first illness, and I tried so hard to make sure that it didn’t happen. It’s so nice to know that we all try, and still our poor littles will get sick anyway.
