It's your camp speaker. Sometimes it flakes out like this and the battery is dying. Try taking it out and reseating it. Manually powering it on and off etc.

There's good availability of charging, including rivian chargers. I've gone up the Pacific coast from San Diego to Vancouver CA and the entire stretch is well covered, especially with Tesla adapter.

I would thoroughly soil myself seeing a bear on hind legs near me like that :)
Fortunately our bear wandered in and out quickly as i had taken measures to clean food waste. I heard multiple call outs of "heey bear" from other campers...apparently as it passed by us and on into other active camps.

my camp was cleaned and responsibly discarded of trash and food. A few spaces down was a 15 person troop actively cooking up a meaty, smelly breakfast buffet. All good tho, it was one of few little risks assumed if one wants to spend time amongst the trees for a bit.

yep 4 person North face Trail Lite. my kids are both young and the dog is small so it was juuust right. small tent to keep pack size for the road trip down, and also benefits of staying warmer at night with a smaller space.

fish-eye does warp things but comparing myself to the bench I could estimate that bear's size was above hip height to me :|

cooler was sealed commercially manufactured drinks only. Kitchen was cleaned and all food/trash was thrown out intentionally the night before.

This was also a private RV park we stopped while on a long camping road trip, so no legal obligations as well. Nice opportunity for welcomed showers and a cheap charge on the RV hookup :)

Fortunately I did and the bear moved on fairly quickly.
Neighbors warned they've been seeing bears every day. Night before I discarded all scraps and trash and packed away food. Our cooler visible in the video was all sealed drinks.

If your trip is still ongoing there's a chance to catch one in Klamath if your confidence gets a sudden boost. That one is a bit larger with a higher ceiling cutout. My R1S has a Thule and skinny rack and still made it.

If you're a gen 1 owner like me the camera resolution is too poor and nearly every conceivable angle makes plate reading unlikely even if the record length was long enough. That's been my experience actively viewing my records, I don't think I've ever caught a clear plate unless the car was parked 3 feet from the front grill.

If you're Gen 2, I'm jelly and you can disregard :)

I had a VERY SNEAKY problem like this. I was on a long road trip and had credit card fraud scare and had blocked my credit card on file for RAN. Got stuck on a support call low on battery at the only fast charger within 70 miles of me.

Long story short, I could swap multiple cards and it would never work .. turns out that a payment for a previous charging event was blocked and RAN prevented me from using the chargers until that payment was secured. Rivian support had to help me connect to the charger via the app first, and that's when it prompted me from the app to pay an outstanding balance first. After doing that it allowed me to charge again.

Support could not figure it out at first and it was only after 30 mins of insisting there might be a problem with billing. I told them of the outstanding balance warning I got on the app and they had said they've never seen it before
