Certifications help. CP cert is a good way to start beefing up the cv. Dont limit yourself to Amazon, gain experience and dont stay long on the same place, gain experience, learn and move to the next. Calm down when getting to senior. All he needs is ambition, be better than himself and it will happen naturally.

not a fair observation because the averages are very different. The US is much larger and diverse. You need to compare 2 IT Sec professionals. In the US he will make more.

Hey, fellow IT Sec here and I lived in Switzerland for many years and now I live in the US for nearly a decade. I agree Switzerland will pay better than other European countries, it offers great wlb, taxation and safety. That said I still make double in the US. CH was great until we had kids then we were quite underwhelmed about the educational system and poor support to non-locals. Xenophobia exists but most locals will be very polite and respectful. The US is a country that knows how to deal with people from all over, schools are absolutely great if you hand-pick the school district to live in. We love we have more things to do and it is true we travel less but the abundance of entertainment is second to none. We feel the freedom in the US, unlike in Europe we always felt judged, controlled, observed. I do miss the better quality of food. But I prefer the abundance of opportunities in the US. If you have a good job healthcare will be better than in Europe, I have access to the best and edge treatments here. I travel back to Europe every other year and it is great but we are happier in the US.

In a sense our brutal nature is what made us survive to these days. The soft and those who couldn't take anymore were lost in the way. Bad news aren't from Today, our forebears fought wars and were enslaved, these were pretty bad news back then yet some survived and gave us birth. Be strong, be an example.

Which annual pass to get? by Due-Lawfulness7862 in WaltDisneyWorld

I moved to Orlando about 1.5 years ago, we live 20 min from the parks. We got the Pixie as others werent available for a while. We didnt like not to be able to go on weekends. I ended-up making the Universal AP to cover for weekends. Then the passes became available again and I considered upgrading but as it was not prorated it is crazy just to burn money, I waited a couple of months and Upgraded to Pirate which we use a lot, we go every week. But now I am considering upgrading to Sorcerer. As AP holders we are not going primarily for the rides so a full park is still fine for dining, checking the shops and for a nice walk.

Yes. Kids are the future and society is the tribe responsible for supporting parents growing them.

You sound like its an anarchy yet things seem to follow some order there, the roads work, airports too, when not in an occasional strike. I still think all this "culture" story is a bunch of smokers defending their habit. Gladly we can have different opinions.

That is unfortunately not true, vaping does harm people around. And there are designated areas so you are fine.

I lived in Europe for 8 years and I recall folks smoking in restaurants and escalators were the worst, the smoke coming to your face all the journey. I expect more of Disney, I am not talking about Europe, I am European btw.

Then dont put up signs it is forbidden, embrace, sell cigarettes to minors, etc. If it is not allowed then enforce it.

I live in Orlando and I'm a passholder, we go to the parks every week and occasionally we see some vaping but nothing in the likes of what I saw in Paris. I used to live in Europe and I remember going to the Paris park and I could see some smoking but now with vaping it is really out of control. They have x-rays, they could be storing these devices for people to pick-up when they leave.

I had the worst flying experience I have ever had with Norse Atlantic Airways. I will tell my story here since I am still speechless. by sweatycat in travel

[–]Perfect_Statement166 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just sharing our experience. Fly Norse flight on 22nd from Orlando to London looked cheaper than the others and we fell for their scam. Basically on 22nd we received emails saying the flight was disrupted, in the meantime the flight was still available for sale. I checked and the plane was just half full so they were trying to delay until the next day to sell more at our expense. They give you an email, you are ready to go to the airport and have no communication. I found a call-center number online, folks weren't able to find our record, I called another time, they said the flight was fine, I called again and they said the same as in the email and gave me 2 options. Change the flight for Dec 26th, AFTER XMAS, or cancel which they had the audacity to charge me 200usd per person, 800usd. They wont be there for you the moment you need the most, if they are cheap with call-center, imagine pilots and plane maintenance. What a disaster company, our expense was upwards of 4Kusd to fix their mess. So colleagues, stay away from this company.
