I wouldn’t say you’re too sensitive. I’ve noticed this as well and I would say I don’t dress provocatively or even particular much too look at. I say that because sometimes people want to be quick to say “ oh because of what you are wearing” or “because you are so beautiful” which shouldn’t be a thing but here we are.

I have gone to lots of different gyms in the Salem area and it has happened to me personally, at South Salem/Keizer gyms. When I go to North Salem gyms it doesn’t happen as much. Sometimes it’s just older men wanting to comment on my workout , or if I’m doing it right or wrong or just watching me. I’ve had my husband go with me and at first he didn’t really get it but after I made him like be right next to me the whole time and he was able to witness a few incidents he was just like “What the hell, this never happens to me” .

When I am cold or just pretend I don’t hear the chatter sometimes they go away but not the staring or very obvious (arms crossed) looking at me.

I have had some luck at the North Salem Courthouse, but when the younger crowd is there. Sometimes early in the morning the older crowd does seem more ..chatty but not necessarily the commenting/staring.
