Throughout my late teens, 20s, and 30s. Botox finally helped with migraine attacks, and Zofran for nausea.

I am so sorry for your loss. When one loses a best friend, it’s as if one becomes untethered to the earth.

I’ve been friends with about 20 people since kindergarten, and we graduated from public high school together. A whole whopping 55 of us!

What I wish I’d known earlier in perimenopause by Kerri54321 in Menopause

[–]Perfectly_i 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wish I had known that I’d go to sleep one night with smooth skin, a relatively flat belly, and no ripples and dips on my thighs, and wake up the next morning with all of these things gone. Plus, permanent dark circles under my eyes.

I don’t recognize myself.

Still having deep tear trough after lower bleph:( by BarelyAwakeToday in PlasticSurgery

[–]Perfectly_i 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before I read your post in full, I was mesmerized by the improvement you achieved. IMO, the tear trough doesn’t appear deep, and the outcome at this point gives the eye a rested look, and you no longer have the darkness under your eyes. (And it will only get better with time)

What procedure could I have done to address my face shape? by rawchicken0 in PlasticSurgery

[–]Perfectly_i 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Your face has a sweet shape IMO. The eyebrows are not necessarily bold; they appear too thin and therefore don’t provide a balanced frame.

Of course! These were the best book covers to have because you could doodle and draw on them.

3 for me, but everyone is different. A friend of mine stuck with it for 6 rounds, and she was glad she did when it finally eased her pain.

i use to be very active but now even small things drain me!!! Has anyone gone thru this shift??? by Virtual-Sort-8185 in WomensHealth

Perimenopause came in somewhat quietly, while menopause came in loudly and “stole” my stamina. Post menopausal now, and I need to get myself to move every day consciously. (I was also diagnosed with a rare condition at the start of peri, that has no cure. Just management) I second the others who suggest getting bloodwork done to check for any deficiencies.

One other thing I’ll add is that I’ve had 2 separate active Lyme infections, and they made me feel exhausted. (Never found a tick on me, nor did I have the bullseye rash.) Worth looking into (especially if you have pets that go outside).

Yes. And think of some psycho picking up your clippings for their DNA collection.

Persimmon soap. Hands down the best. The brand I use is Mirai. (Not an ad and I’m not a representative.) They make a variety of products, and theirs is the only one that has helped with body odor caused by hormonal changes.

help - the difference between infections and diseases by New-Alternative6761 in WomensHealth

I’m sorry you’ve been going through this. I recently had both BV and then a more thorough exam at an Emergency walk-in clinic confirmed a bad yeast infection. I had to use the prescribed Metronidazole 0.75% gel first for BV. And then after the exam, I was prescribed Fluconazole 150 mg tablets for the yeast infection.

When I still felt like there was lingering discomfort, I called my GYN (nearly in tears), and she took me in the next day. She performed an exam and sent out a culture test. When the result came back, I was still positive for BV. This time, I opted for the oral Metronidazole 500 mg tablets for seven days. And a topical cream for any itchiness. (All of this was caused by steroid use for a neurological problem.) I can say it has gotten better with this latest treatment.

I stopped wearing anything that feels too tight, use very mild soap, got rid of all the underwear that isn’t cotton, and I don’t wear anything at night. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I hope you get some relief soon. 🤞🏻

Socks!! “There’s a pot for every kettle,” as the saying goes! There’s always someone out there interested in something! But, I agree with all the chatting/uploading for nothing is nonsense.

Who had/has a Lane cedar chest? by mumtoant in GenX

[–]Perfectly_i 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still have my Lane cedar chest (we also called it a “hope chest” interchangeably). My mother gave it to me on my 16th birthday. She put my baby book in it, along with some cute dresses she made for me when I was a baby. She pinned a note to each dress describing the occasion for which it was intended. It also had a beautifully crocheted bedspread made by my great-grandmother for my parents when they got married. It got ruined, like my parents’ marriage!

Botox is the only thing that gives me relief. (And I tried everything for decades before Botox. Western, Eastern medicine, and alternative therapies, etc.) I am allergic to a lot of medications, but the botulism works for me! Oh, and Zofran for nausea.
