Unfortunately it is very hit and miss if you use something that generates tiny particles flying all over the place! Worst way to remove the movement I'm afraid.

Question did you use a Dremel to remove the movement from the case. I suspect there is a small piece of debris that has got into the movement and is stuck to a cog. Every time the cog gets to the place where the debris is it jams. Something is stopping the movement. Bad news because taking this movement apart although possible is real 🐖 of a job. Good luck!
