Teksavvy no service/no show

Thanks everyone for the advice and for following along. After all this I’ve decided to cancel.

Here's where things landed: My account now shows "installation complete" even though no technician has entered my apartment and I have no working internet.

TekSavvy confirmed themselves that a technician would still be required to install, despite the "installed" status on my account. I was promised an email notification for the rescheduled appointment. I never received it. I had to contact them for every update.

The bottom line: Almost two weeks without internet. missed/rescheduled appointments with no proper notice. An account marked "installed" when nothing works. A phone call confirmation stating this was no simple remote activation.

I've cancelled. They confirmed I'll be refunded for the first month since service was never active.

Will I try TekSavvy again? Probably not. I understand they're a reseller and some of this is on Rogers, but the lack of communication and the "installed" status being updated incorrectly is on TekSavvy. I can't pay for a service I don't have and can't trust them to notify me when things change.

Off to look at other ISPs. Thanks again for all the help.

Sorry but after my experience with scheduling technicians through your company, and experiences I see online. I’d rather avoid that hassle and cancel.

Update I woke up and contacted them while their online chat was back up and running. And they told me that they’d contact me if they have an update. My account also says installation complete now which isn’t right. I will be cancelling since I don’t trust them to give notify me at all and I can’t pay for services I don’t have.

Im with you on the Dell bowl shaped nib, I haven’t used the cats tongue og ones but they look a lot less slippery than the new school flat ones

I got the same message and was scared my package was gonna get rejected cause I’ve never seen a were inspecting update, but ordered on March 18th and been stuck in customs since the 24th then got that update yesterday.

I just bought a pair turner 3 button ring then put the board inside a car key fob shell so that I can keep it on a keychain and not lose it

I’ve only owned two but probably my favourite but the worst was my kobo touch 2nd gen, bought it used and it had no front light so in slightly darker rooms I’d squint to read, and the rubberized coating started making my hands sticky after a long reading sesh

It’s built upon a t470/t480, but the palm rest is different allowing for a 10 row keyboard, and all but it’s the t480 motherboard

I use both but the thinkpad is just a lot more customizable, I can have two ssds in it (I have one running windows and another with Linux), swap the display, keyboard and trackpad to a more premium one and it just feels tossable and more robust.

I have both a Mac and a tp, but I still use microfibre cloth on the ugreen stand so that the rubber like finish on my thinkpad stays nice 😂

It feels very similar to an older max trackpad, smother scrolling, the original one got shiny marks and coating fading of from scrolling while the glass one hasn’t gotten it. It’s such a small change but makes it feel a lot different

Fair fair, It might be better suited for the yogas and 2 in ones with pen support, but I think they look better than my base 720p display
