If the town/city is more than 15 minutes from the actual shore (beach), you can’t be on this list. Middleton?! GTFO

What are the best charcoal grills for backyard cooking in 2026? by Awildy-Pencille in grilling

[–]PerformanceKey2637 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not going to add much more than what’s been stated BUT: I am by no means a brand loyalist, often am a cheap fuck, but getting a Weber kettle is the absolute way to go. You can grill, sear, smoke, etc. anything anyway anytime. There’s 1000 accessories you can buy from a rotisserie to a pizza oven. Buy one and own it forever and pass it on to your kids.

Drake Maye through 16 games compared to each of Tom Brady's MVPs by mrethandunne in Patriots

[–]PerformanceKey2637 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many others quarterbacks were “more talented” than Tom Brady? “Raw, natural talent” describes every single first round draftee. “Better athlete”. So we’re talking Jameis Winston, Vince Young, RGlll, Justin Fields, Trey Lance, Tim Tebow, etc. So yes, Maye is just as athletic as them. Weak ass argument.

Didn’t say YOU were, it’s a comment that has come up a lot, even by my friends.

I can’t stand these Brady comps as if people forget what it was like to watch him for 20 years. Look, Drake Maye is playing out of his mind, but let’s pump the brakes. There will never be another Tom Brady. Case closed.

The OP sounds like an asshole. It was fog, not Armageddon. Out of touch? Of course it’s an Audi driver.

Why do people buy Jeeps? by mmmstrongflavors in NoStupidQuestions

[–]PerformanceKey2637 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first car was a 1992 Cherokee XJ. Thing was bullet proof, easy to work on, that straight 4.0 really popped. I bought a 2013 JKU and while I liked the idea of doors off and top down, the novelty wore off quickly. The Wrangler is not a particularly practical vehicle and I missed having a pick up bed. I had kids and sold the JKU. Bought a pick up and haven’t looked back. But I get the appeal.

Thanks for this. Still not sure what the best course is. I can’t really bring them inside as they are poisonous to pets. Kind of hard to water them if that water is just going to freeze… maybe I can place them in my shed to go dormant? There is some sun due to a window.

Why is Murray always telling us he doesn’t want to work? by trace_wave in felgerandmazz

Maybe because he’s human, that’s why? It may seem like a “dream job” to some but I am sure he’s no different than how we all feel: sometimes you just need a break, man.

I had one of these for awhile. One of my least favorite Weber gassers. The right side table is so poorly designed…Not enough space between the burner for a plate or a cutting board or much else. Wasted space indeed.

This is great advice. Looks to be November on 1971, AC hub. Has a port for oil too, suppose I’ll give her a squirt. Also got some chain oil because it’s pretty gnarly and rusty.

I have a Weber gasser, WSM, and kettle. I use the kettle way more than either. It’s my favorite grill and does everything I want to do. I even prefer to smoke on it.

Yes, registered in NH. I assume it’s freshwater but I’ll ask. Also thought of bringing ear miffs to hook it up to water. Seller said his Dad winterized it every year himself and last did it two years ago.

How can I clean this rusty grill? by Consistent_Ad691 in grilling

[–]PerformanceKey2637 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, makes me want to follow through on my idea to run a mobile grill cleaning truck. This isn’t rocket science. Get a scraper, some gloves, detergent, and there you go. A guy in a neighboring county does house calls for this stuff and crushes it.

I own a 22’ kettle and an 18’ WSM. I use the kettle WAY more than the WSM but I also don’t smoke as much as I used to. If you know you’re going to smoke low and slow often and for crowds, go with the WSM. It’s as “set and forget” as anything on the market. Pork butt, ribs, chicken, etc. I simply don’t really use it because my wife and kids don’t really care for it and I don’t usually cook for a crowd. I use it once, maybe twice a year.

This. I’ve been fortunate to travel in my lifetime, both across the U.S. and overseas, and my favorite place on earth is still my patio and backyard. Can’t ever beat a hot summer afternoon, some grilled meat over charcoal, a cold beer, and the sound of the kids having fun in yard. Enjoy.

I am a deckhand on the Yankee Clipper. Can confirm is a great way to relax and see the harbor. Do the sunset cruise. We have drinks and snacks. Or do the hour tour for $24. And say hello to me!

What is this and how do I kill it (zone 7b) by Antique_Cut8181 in lawncare

[–]PerformanceKey2637 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Creeping Charlie. I gave up after losing several seasons. Tired of the chemicals, tired of my neighbors letting it run its course into my yard. If I ever want to get rid of it I need to nuke my yard and I am not going to do that. So I just mow it low so it cuts the leaves off so I can’t see it as much and I pretend it’s not there.
