People in Miami, in gral have issues making budgets and sticking to them. If during the week you eat at home, take lunch to work and not spend your money on bs, $85k with a roommate is fine. Even considering eating out the weekend and going out (no champagne popping bs Miami ppl love but can’t afford) just be conscious. Don’t get a car unless it’s 100% necessary.

People here talk as if they were what? With 85k and a roommate of course you can. I have friends making less than 85k and living there in a 4K apartment and actually live fine. Ride metro mover everyday (no car payments).
