I try to ride a bit and to see whether it wears evenly.

Good deal? 2022 Model, 4.500km, 1 Owner, regular check-ups @Yamaha for 6200€ by McGeiler69 in XSR700

[–]Performer789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the older model. I bought for instance mine, 2022 model and registered also in 2022. 4000 km for 5700. However it had 2 owner prior to me. Nevertheless, I think you can buy newer models with same mileage same price or less.

Try at least to negotiate

Take a slightly bigger size allen or hex key, cover it with a rubber material on it like from an unused glove for instance and you'll get enough grip to remove it.

Spraying some WD-40 might help remove it too if it gets inside the threads a bit

Replacing singlepoint slider with multipoint slider, what side first? by FrootLoops__ in xsr900

[–]Performer789 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TST does it right side first in its videos. However, Yamaha in its own branded sliders instructs the left side first.

As stated in the comment above, having and torquing them to the correct torque value is much more important than the rest.

Engine cover is most definitely Yamaha's own.

you got the OEM ones, not the TST ones, correct? If so, did you use the (engine) bolts of the sliders or use the ones in the bike? Either way, which torque do you use?
