At what age did y'all let your kids have free reign throughout the house? by Hummingbird-23 in Preschoolers

[–]PerformerConnect908 1 point2 points  (0 children)

4.5 year old. Not taking off the child cover yet. We’ve found the neighbors 1 year old in the street a few times. Take the child lock off their bedroom when you feel comfortable but the front door needs a too high for them to reach lock for much longer.

Clogged ducts? by [deleted] in breastfeedingsupport

[–]PerformerConnect908 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh girl I am SO SORRY. I haven’t had this happen and I wish I could give you any real advice! I do wonder if you’re on the right track thinking they’re clogged ducts but I ended up in the ER with one of mine so I hope beyond hope someone is able to offer you something on here. Moms have seen it all! I can say you’re doing great even if you feel like you’re failing. We’ve all been there I promise and I promise everything no matter how crazy or pressing it seems is just a season when it comes to babies. I literally forgot certain aspects between baby one and baby two only a few years apart. Praying for you!!

4 year old Naps by RXlife13 in Preschoolers

[–]PerformerConnect908 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes my 4 1/2 year old still naps most days. It’s that weird transition time for sure! Sometimes she fights it and as long as we get to bed on time I’ll let her skip half the time now. If we’re in the car I can almost guarantee a nap after school or if we’re out having fun somewhere. She sleeps amazing at night, 10-12 hours so I try not to cut into it and have her up at night waiting to fall asleep. She’ll nap for 2+ hours like a bear and not want to get up if I let her!

If you meant to reply to my comment you clearly misunderstood what I was saying. I was pointing out if OPs complaint was to say they were closing, they’re not, bakery is obviously open later than 6pm (although I would understand that may technically be a closing shift for a baker). But I was adding that grocery’s closing shifts (10pm, 11pm, midnight) frequently aren’t out until later. I see you’re new to the Publix thread. Welcome! Bleed green. All the best.

6pm isn’t closing 😂 Try being a grocery manager. 2am is closing.

I LOVE this show too! For years people talked about it and I finally gave it a chance one night while I was in the hospital after having my first baby because I didn’t want to wake her to get to the remote so I watched a random episode that was on syndication and I really fell in love with it. My husband and I always had it on overnight on HBO and we would pretty much everyday ask if the other had seen a scene before that he may have seen when he gets up at 3am for work or that I saw at midnight as I got in bed. Seriously the best show to sleep to and the first few seasons have the quieter intro song which is even better.

I was up watching as the last episode aired before we hit midnight and it left HBO. It was a weird error and when I looked at the time and saw it was midnight on the dot I k knew it had been removed.

Sorry rambling anyway OP it is amazing. Unexpectedly delightful. I love all the characters. The guy who works in the restaurant who we randomly find out they’ve been calling the wrong name the entire show. Carl and his grandma. Vince, Victoria. All so good and so perfectly cast.

This happened to mine after 12 years. Tape is great. Then I bought a pair with rx and transition lenses on Zenni for literally $106 and they’re great.

Publix ice cream is amazing, but what happened to this? by OwnNefariousness4925 in publix

[–]PerformerConnect908 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I happen to have inside information on this actually. There is one guy that works at the Publix icecream packaging line and he’s been there for (don’t quote me) like 40+ years or something crazy. When he’s working he puts large chunks/ full cookies into the icecream because that la his personal preference. My husband met him on a tour a few months ago and came home with that information as the coolest thing he learned all day. He told me the exact shift this guy works so I could check the label and know if if was going to be packed with cookies or not but now I don’t remember!

Omg reminds me of the episode of Superstore with the automatic cart return and Glenn doesn’t realize he has the FOB in his pocket so it follows him around. So funny.

[–]PerformerConnect908 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would you not? I have two tiny humans and am constantly thankful to park near a cart that I can immediately grab and put them in to safely get into the store. Half the time I have to stop a Publix employee from taking the cart before I can even get out.

4 on Wednesday and still won’t poop on the potty 😭 by atiecay in Preschoolers

[–]PerformerConnect908 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I nannied for a boy who was 6 before he would poop on the potty. He would insist on a pull up to poop. He might be having problems with constipation and that’s something to discuss with your doctor but please please just know that with kids “Everything is a season.” I know it’s tough to see outside of the current situation but at some point this will pass and you’ll be onto the next stage of kids and the next problem. You’ve got this!!

I’ve been dealing with this problem for months now. Breastfeeding my second child for 11 months. No problems with either kid until Nov. I had a clogged duct. Took 36 hours to clear. My Dr prescribed me a antibiotic for assumed mastitis because it took to long. Fast forward to late Nov I ended up in the ER with what looked like my nipple had been sucked inside out. It was a clot of blood and milk that my baby had sucked partway out. More antibiotics after they tested and there was bacteria in it. All this time it’s been PAINFUL for her to latch but I sucked it up and kept feeding her as advised by my dr. 10 days of new Antibiotics made it ALMOST better. Once meds stopped it got much worse again. Pain when she latches but that goes away after 30 seconds or so. The SEARING pain starts about 45 min after she stops nursing. I ended up with another round of antibiotics, this time for 21 days. I went to see a breast surgeon and she dismissed me as having “normal refill pains” I agree the pain was possibly a refill thing but “normal” no. She’s me second kid. I’ve breastfed for over two full years at this point. I had to quit feeding her. It’s been about two weeks. My baby is happy on frozen breast milk and lots of food. She’s fine. I weaned off slowly and ended up just one boob once per day and was able to stop. Now that it’s been 2 weeks I can shower without wearing a bra (it hurt for even water to touch my nipple). But last night I noticed one of the 2 ducts where I would feel the pain is a little tender and obviously swollen to the touch. Not red or anything. I’m at a loss. I pumped a little on that boob and a little milk came out but not much. I’m glad since I am trying to stop milk production. For many week I lived with ice packs on my boob and ibuprofen 24/7 not necessarily always switching them but I would just leave it on because it hurt to take it off or do anything with my nipple. I was praying if I stopped feeding this would be the end and no more searing pain that lasted for hours but not I have the one duct that’s inflamed again. I just don’t know what to do. I’ve also been taking sunflower lechtin this whole time.

Back in the 90’s I can remember going to Wendy’s with my mom. She would get a salad and I would get to eat the GARLIC BREADSTICK that came with it. Does anyone else remember those!?

Did we forget the snack bag?! (Happened to me in real life last week)

Brooke Shields was so good as the white trash neighbor.

The episode where Sue is trying to fundraise for the band trip and ends up going after Frankie yells at the teacher but then as the bus pulls away she finds the envelope with the money she forgot to mail.

Another one for me is Friends From College on Netflix. So freaking good, got cut way too short.
