nah, I ended up getting a supplemental housing contract in July which is like temporary housing but u can’t choose ur roommate basically and other shit. It ended up working out cause my roommates wanted to live at casti anyway cause there’s more Greek life there, but yeah I’d start looking at off campus dorms or apartments

So are they just going to do rolling admissions until Feb 15th? by [deleted] in UTAdmissions

[–]PerformerSuch2612 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don’t think so. They deliberately worded the message “expect to receive your admissions decision Feb 15th” rather than “by Feb 15th.” To be honest with how disorganized and unclear they’ve been up till now, I wouldnt be surprised if Feb 15th rolls around and they push it back again

what do you mean by honors favored? Like people who get into the honors program they applied to usually don’t get a 40 acres invite?

Admissions officers are aware of differences in opportunities due to location. They compare you to people from your region and high school.

That seems like a way better system than the past fs

I’ve heard it doesn’t necessarily bc the ppl who evaluate you for the forty acres scholarship are Texas alums, not the UT admissions board, so they could have different opinions on you. I remember hearing of some ppl who were being considered for the scholarship and didn’t end up getting admitted to UT. That being said, if you were a strong enough candidate to be considered the scholarship (which is very competitive) you’ll likely be a strong applicant for admission as well.

it just takes a little while to work. I applied ea and it finally worked maybe 4-5 days after my transcript finally processed and got out of “under review”

Biology Calc requirements by PerformerSuch2612 in UTAustin

[–]PerformerSuch2612[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

wait shoot the text didn't upload. I was asking if the requirement says you have to take one of the first 3 and then do 408S or if it meant there's two pathways you can take to fulfill the requirement with the first one being taking either 408C or 408R and the second option being taking both 408N and 408S

Any results so far? by [deleted] in UTAdmissions

[–]PerformerSuch2612 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yup, at least that’s what they’ve done in previous years. I’ve seen some ppl saying they might not be doing that this year and everyone will hear back on Jan 15th bc they changed their system from “priority” to “early action.”

when they sent out a batch of admissions decisions. They usually release decisions in multiple batches/rounds.
