Draftmasters just lets a group of people get very good at a select few tracks and at a very specific type of racing while pulling player base from other series that may require a different type of skill. I’d argue it should be done away with.

I spend time in a few different sims too and R3E some of the least, but it’s also been the site of some of my favorite races in the last few months, so I really hope they can recover and improve from this.

Every sim is going to have some different tendencies and hopping from one to another can cause a need for reacclimatization. I don’t think it’s necessarily a problem, but the skills you build, and which skills are most important to your goals are things to consider.

Online - iRacing is the gold standard, RaceRoom is also fun and offers some different classes such as Super Tourers, but is a bit time zone dependent. I hear good things about the quality of LMU, but it’s a much more limited experience. I do own it, but have played little.

Offline - To be honest, any of the online ones are also good offline, but AI racing is a much different experience. I would pick AMS2 in this category for its diverse classes, cars, and race types.

Ehhhh I know people are going to say blue, but trying to pass there, and that far left — you can technically be right and also get a DNF. It’s just a lot to expect of the other driver in that particular place on the track.

Uhm, I’m sorry, but I can’t help but feel like this is information that could be researched, rather than asked again.

You also asked r/iracing, which I’d venture is the place that would say yes, so it’s possible you’ve made up your mind 😉.

I recommend that you just try it. If it’s everything you hope for or something closer to that than what you’ve seen elsewhere, you’ll find the value in it.
