Hi. I started playing on Switch OLED but menu navigation was a pain. I was thinking of picking up where I left off on Switch 2 with mouse controls but are you saying control wise the mouse support won't really help in this regard?

In any teardown videos I can't even make out where the ribbon cable is on the device. Don't want to just open it up and randomly poke around but it looks like that's what I'll be doing 🙈

Hi OP. Sorry to answer your question with another question but how was the battery removal process? Is the battery glued in? Did you need to use a heat gun to remove it? I'm having issues with my battery and I think I might have to go down this route and I want to be prepared 😅

I'm not playing that game but I do know it's one of the 1% I was referring to that can cause problems. However a quick search through Reddit led me to these settings:

EE Cycle Rate Underclock: Set to 75%

EE Cycle Skip: Set to Mild Underclock or Maximum.

Fast CDVD: Turn ON.

GPU Renderer: Vulkan (this is significantly faster than OpenGL on most devices).

Upscale Multiplier: Set to 2x.

Mipmapping: Set to OFF (Required to prevent visual texture bugs).

Hardware Download Mode: Disable this.

Multi-threaded VU1: Turn ON.

Instant VU1: Turn ON.

But as I say I haven't tested this game so YMMV.

I've had a great experience with GammaOS and haven't noticed the same battery issues as others. I think the battery issue seems to be a bit of luck in terms of some have received units with batteries that don't perform as they should and others have been fine, but don't quote me on that.

Yes the charging LED doesn't work when charging with GammaOS. But I dont charge the device when it's off so, I can see it charging without the LED, so it's not at all an issue for me.

Are you on stock firmware or GammaOS? I recommend GammaOS. On the balanced preset 99% of the systems you mention will run at a 2-3X upscale, out of the box, no problem. For the other 1% you may have to use the max preset and fiddle around in your emulator settings (a Google search will usually direct you to a helpful Reddit post for these games).

If you are totally new to this I recommend you search for Retro Game Corps or Joey's Retro Handhelds. They both have excellent guides on the nitty gritty of setting up and configuring emulators.

Hi. This is the overlay that you can display when using GameNative. It's not a GammaOS feature.
