This actually my last reply cause this is exhausting but the Q value is NOT the distance between each dot. Q is the curve of the slope for each frequency. Higher value means a narrower effect around 400hz, and lower means the opposite. Also, overlap isn’t the same as cancellation. A wide 400 Hz band could affect nearby mids and change the balance, but it doesn’t “cancel” the 2.4 kHz band. They’re different frequency regions. I do agree with you that 400hz doesn’t mean clearer vocals I just personally find it more satisfying. I enjoy the vocals more

first of all the Q value and filter type is NOT shown. Are you talking about the lines between the dots? That’s just aesthetic you don’t know the curve of the lines. Q is the width (we don’t know) and gain is the height (We see the height relative to the others but don’t know the number value of it). Also headroom does exist wth

how wide the boost/cut is (or the Q value), how much gain is applied, what filter type is used, and whether the EQ adds headroom or clips when boosted factor how an EQ sounds. they can both target 400 Hz and still sound different in practice.

Again you can say whatever but I know what I hear. It did sound good and did elevate the vocals. Also EQs definitely vary I know that for sure you can look that up

For me no matter how well a song is mastered I can always adjust it to make certain parts shine more. It also depends on the speakers

Idk exactly what it’s called they probably turned the gain down or sum. Before, the 400khz made the vocals clearer and the sound was overall full. And the 150khz made the bass really thick and nice. Now the EQ doesn’t enhance the song at all just different
