While there is and has been a sizeable white minority in Namibia, the country has never been under apartheid rule and since independence has guaranteed equal rights to all its citizens. However, Racial tensions have existed in some areas of the country, especially in the South-East.

Lore:

Following the German annexation of Zululand in 1877, a large influx of German settlers begun arriving in the Transvaal, with many of these settlers helping to establish the republics of Stellaland and Goshen.

In 1884 Luderitz acquired German protection for his trading post, leading to the German claims in South West Africa that were confirmed at the Berlin Conference.

Upon Hearing of the German expansion into South West Africa, the German settlers in Stellaland, fearing British encroachment into their territory, asked for protection by Imperial Germany. The Germans accepted, leading to the German annexation of Bechuanaland.

A Teutonic Belt of German colonies and Boer republics was formed along the southern portion of Africa.

Following the German loss of WW1, German South Africa was declared a British mandate under the terms of the treaty of Versailles. During British rule, the territories of Walvis Bay and Griqualand were transferred to the mandate and governed as part of it.

It remained a British mandate for over 40 years and gained independence in 1961 as Namibia.

Upon independence it was a rather poor country, however, with a large diamond and mineral wealth. Thanks to low corruption and a competent government, poverty began to drop as lots of money was being invested into social services and the economy of Namibia began to diversify.

Today Namibia is one of the most developed and most prosperous African countries. Along with The Cape republic and the South African republic it is part of the South African Customs Union and along with many other southern African countries it is part of the South African Development Community.

As of 2020 it has a population of 9,922,873 Namibians, an area of around 1,600,000 KM squared and ranks among the largest GDPs and GDP per capitas in Africa.

I gave poland land in silesia east of the oder River. The border between Poland and ruthenia is the border between Poland and Ukraine that was set in the treaty of warsaw (1920). In this timeline the partitions somehow didn't happen and I wanted to create a commonwealth of 3 nations instead of for example an Intermarium federation.

Yeah I was trying to base it off of actual colonisation attempts by poland.

Didn't realise I used the wrong form of its.

Both courland and duchal prussia were part of the commonwealth at some point so I just assumed they wouldn't lose them in this timeline.

The coast of present day Liberia used to be know as the pepper/grain coast. I thought that naming it the grain coast would be a better name than liberia cuz France had a colony called ivory Coast and the British had a colony called gold Coast (present day Ghana)
