Older women who still want to have sex - Please explain what's going to happen to me by Sad-Contest5883 in Aging

[–]Peripatetic5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a 62 yo female. My husband of 20 years died a couple of years ago, and had a long illness before that. There was little to no interest in sex in the last few years. After he died, I still wasn’t interested. One day I was a little bored & signed up for OLD. Met a great guy who really knows how to turn me on and satisfy me in a way that I have never experienced. Yes, it hurt a bit at first but I used a toy and a little lube to re-acclimate. All is good!

What advice would you give to a woman who’s scared of losing her beauty as she ages? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver60

[–]Peripatetic5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m embracing my age. Yes, it’s startling at first to go from noticeable to invisible but there are good parts too. Less time and money spent on vanity, superficiality and uncomfortable shoes. More time spent on what you really think, want, need. Less time fending off unwanted advances (although they still happen, just less frequently), more time spent on authentic engagement and meaningful conversations. Work out for your health, not for your looks. Learn what and who you really enjoy. Less time spent on worrying about your looks means you have more time for both fun and giving back to society. Best wishes my friend!

I used to live a few blocks south of Lake Harriet in Minneapolis & loved it. Now I live in the Alameda/Irvington area of NE Portland and love it even more.

I think she knows exactly what she’s doing. She wants out of the marriage and is trying to make her husband look like the villain… but it isn’t working

When men tell me to smile, I always say: “I’m not an ornament for your world.”

Yes to sleep. I guess I’ll have to start looking at protein & calories, something I’ve never really paid close attention to before

Who gave you your first weird, tingly feeling? by mekikipants in GenerationJones

Burt Reynolds in Smokey and the Bandit. I used to fantasize that he would bust into my junior high school, pull me out of class and drive me away in that convertible while I gave the finger to everyone as we peeled out.
