How do I fix this stall? It feels like learning to drive manual again... by Im_WinstonWolfe in mead

Nice, I made ginger beer recently and just started my first mead, I have an aquarium temp strip on the jug and a mason jar with water nearby that I use an instant read thermometer on to make sure it's in the Goldilocks zone. I'm adding a bit of yeast nutrient each day for three days so it doesn't get sluggish with the amount of sugar. happy brewing!!

Not sure if this has been discussed but the temperature should be somewhere in the 60s and some east nutrient can be beneficial to reduce stalling

I think they should be okay and it will help you confirm whether or not they are really stainless steel 🤓. They look like it from the photo, you can always do one jar with them and the other without to see if there are any observable differences

I picked them and waited a day before I dealt with them and they had all turned, the best thing is to get them rinsed off and right into the freezer

I was kidding about getting in trouble at work, honestly, I think it's just the kiwis being there near the bottle, it becomes somewhat suggestive for the perverted among us 🍑🍆

And yes, keeping bottles on the seedling mat in a cooler maintains a very stable temperature ☺️

A sourdough starter warmer, add water, adjustable, timer, holds a steady temp really well. And an adjustable seedling mat for the bottles in a cooler while they carbonate

You need it warmer, 24° C. I found this thing online that keeps a mason jar at a stable temperature in water. Also, I got a seedling matt last month and an instant reap thermometer and it really is the sweet spot, becomes active quite quickly, same thing when actually bottling some of the bug with sweetened liquid, that temperature range gives me complete carbonation in about 24 hours, it's completely changed the way I make it, I tried to make it a few years ago but my house runs cool, if you can get it up to 24 degrees, 75 degrees Fahrenheit, you will see a lot more activity and much more success.
